Hi Bill,
Eventually, we’ll get to meet other Prevost owner’s. Frank and Larry were at the MCC today showing the Liberty Coach…. hopefully, they will sell it this weekend!
In the 25 yrs. we’ve been coming to Palm Springs, I have never, ever, seen the town as busy as it is this season. I think the big Marilyn Monroe statue (Norma Jean) has been really popular. The restaurants downtown are packed! It takes at least 45 minutes to drive from Palm Springs to Indio to the MCC. People will NOT move out of the way! LOL!

No, I didn’t take a test drive yet as I wanted to digest everything that I saw about the coach. The salesguy said anytime I’m ready for a test drive just to let him know.
As you know, I have been comparing the Newell and the Prevost. I have not test driven either yet. I have to say that I’m leaning towards the Prevost for the quality reputation of the chassis.
Jon summed it up in one word “compromise”.
Here’s what I like about the Prevost.
-Solid chassis.
-The swing-out bay doors (the bi-fold Newell doors were hard for me to close).
-Prevost service centers.
-Prevost installed slides at the factory (I really don’t want pivoting slides, the Newell has the floor that lowers down for the slide to move which is not exciting to me).
-I like the ‘hinged’ front door vs. a pneumatic door.
-I also like NOT having exterior steps like on the Prevost.
-The Volvo is a very well world-wide used engine like a Cummins so that’s a wash really.
Another thing that caught my eye while in Las Vegas recently driving to and from…. didn’t see one Newell on the road, all the high end were Prevost (no Foretravels either). That is just my simple unscientific observation.

I just have to point out that Tom, the thread police on the PC forum is actually a part of this drift.
As a former NJ boy I ain’t got no problem wit dat. Then I lived in Noo Yawk. Now that I live in the sowt dey expect me to unnerstand what dey is sayin. Ain’t gonna happen.

Yes Mark, That was my concern from the start,,,, I haul my own equipment as well and that is why I know about covering the exhaust when hauling. That is also why I intend to check it out completely before final connection.
It looks much cleaner now with just one large exhaust pipe and the 2″ generator pipe coming in back under the coach. Just waiting on check valve parts for the Raycor so we can run the coach and check it out.
What is the trick for posting pictures here ? I have tried to upload pics from my computer but after the preview comes up it just sits there and does not allow me to post.

Here is my “stab in the dark” at HWH. My vintage coach has the HWH automatic leveling. The rocker switch on HWH shows Level to left and is spring loaded to middle which is a neutral. Right goes to Dump. Indicators give you left or right as to which side is hi or low. I was having problems with the Level Low (HWH piggybacks to Prevost Level Low as Jon says) selector switch which I replaced. Still not getting “Auto” to work but LL worked for me. Replaced a blown fuse on HWH panel and now it even works.

I tried to romove frig threw door I removed doors I have H 345 Marathon 2001 it would not go out door I took off handles not enough room took out right windshield installed 3 door Kitchen Aid stainless fit same hole looks great took 6 men app 10 minutes app one hour too secure and fasten down any question please call very pricy fgigerator

I shoot for 5000 mile engine oil change and I do about 100 hours on the genny. Oil and filters are lots cheaper than engines, and with EGR on the Detroit, I like to get rid of the garbage it puts back into the oil.

NAPA / WIX carries coolant filters in blanks , with pellets and without pellets based on the capacity of your system.
NAPA filter catalog will have the information needed to get the right size. Ask to see it in store.
The times I’ve seen the bottom canister rusted out have been filters in service way past there expected service life.

I cut open my coolant filter that was in service about a year on our bus.

in my 99 Country Coach the panels that cover each of th A/C filter locations are plastic mirrors that are held in place with the (Super strong) Velcro strips. Really hard to pull apart but I have done it. Hope that helps.
