I believe That is the same POLYBUTYLENE piping that was used in residential plumbing for a few years. Due to s high rate of failures it was pulled from the market. There was s hefty class action award for whoule house plumbing replacement. As I recall they suspected chlorine to be the major contributor to failure.
I wonder if connectors for PEX are dimensionally the same. PEX is the cloudy white flexible piping that looks similiar in size to what you have. A quick web search suggest that Qest and PEX sharkbit connectors will work. I’ve seen the PEX connectors in Lowes. Marine stores would also be a good place to look, especially given you’ll be in Titusville.

A problem with our Radiator and coolent system did not get “taken care of” till the last minute and I was done in by one of these nasty flu bugs. Amazing how as we age , what used to be minor, can really put one down. That said, I am about to conquer thes nasty bug , but could not get bus to Branson for the work till too late to make it and did not think you all would appreciate a germ laden bus driver in your midst. Jon, I owe you a dozen Oysters for not making it for our “Talk”. Hope you all enjoy your time as I am sure you will. Shucks.

Just fire up that beautiful bus BCO and point north bound Hwy 71, soon to be known as Interstate 49 on 12-12-12. And it will be going through AR and not AK as someone from Missouri once posted….. Who me?
Your bus parking will at the world headquarters of Ironhorse Coach Storage….For free…..only Class A diesel pushers accepted.
Leave your toad at home.
BBQ 15 minutes away

Jon When you were in the manufacturing business did you facture in a fluff amount? Say for example a hitch is rated for 10,000. Did the actual braking point be say 15,000? My thought is if a hitch is rated 10,000 and someone is towing 11000 with a loaded trailer is this close enough? I realize there are all kinds of liabity issues that arise by going over the rated amount but what if you are that close? Rick

Yes, Richard that looks like what is left of it but there should be some male pins, mine had two, sticking out from that red circular area. I don’t see any there. Mine had two pins and the electric cord simply had a female plug on the end that slid onto the two male pins. The other end of my cord is a standard 3 prong 120 volt electric plug. If you can read a name on the plate, you may be able to buy only the electric cord. I would call Prevost and give them the unit number of your coach, they should be able to tell you if it is stock Prevost and if so, whether a cord is available, assuming your unit is in good shape. To determine your unit number, count right to left on your VIN number. The 8th digit from the right should be a letter. Combine it with the last 4 digits and that makes your “unit” number for Prevost parts to pull up a build sheet. For example, my 8th digit is an M and the last 4 are 1839, thus my coachs unit number is M1839. Hope this helps

Because of the nature of how we use our coaches I would rather have the Racor or equivalent instead of the engine mounted closed cannister primary fuel filter.
Since few of us use our coaches often, and most of us have long periods where the coach is stored, we have great potential for algae. The bowl on a Racor like Dale’s is a superb way to get an early warning that we may have a fuel quality issue. As set up like Mark’s and mine we’ll get the early warning when the engine stumbles, or worse, shuts down.

Hey Tuga:
That is a great explanation and it clears things nicely. Maybe you could post a couple of pictures of that in this thread.

Just for fun I measured the DC amp load for the Ddec and it is 1.2 amp.

Everybody has preferences for overnight parking. When we go down our list trying to figure where to spend the night one of the places we have found to be pretty good is at Cracker Barrel.
We never stay without letting the manager know we will be staying and getting his (her) OK. We always have dinner or breakfast there.
We have never been refused, but once a manager said she would not OK our staying overnight, nor would she ask us to leave. She did not want responsibility if anything happened. That was about 12 years ago and someone had just sued Cracker Barrel because they were robbed while parked for the night in their RV.

The manuals for the inverter/chargers and remote panels are available online. FYI, if your inverter/chargers are labelled Heart, they are actually Xantrex units.
Yep they are the heart /Xantrex units and I have the manuals for those.
If you discover it’s time for new batteries, check with Tom first.
The jury is out the Batts at least until they are equalized. They are just short of 3 years old and are the Lifeline 8D AGM type. Tom as in a couple of posts above?? Tom??
Thanks

I think that Liberty changed to the outback inverter in 2007 and that started the ability to invert higher current and run a cruise air unit.My 2008 is one of the few that has 6-8D batteries and it is capable of running 2 cruise air units,I know of one other Liberty that is like mine. With 6 batteries I can run one cruise air for about 5-6 hours before the generator starts.I will invert and run the bedroom AC unit at night on some dry camping occasions.

You should be able to buy just a new core. I think there are few companies
that build cores, here’s a place to start.http://detroitradiatorcorp.com/catalog/maker/cores/truck
I know prices are up but the last time I heard it was about $1500 for a
core. If you spec out an after market core the dimple fin design would probably
work best in a bus. Be sure to get at least as many rows of flues as the
original. 8V’s and Allison’s make a lot of heat.Ken
