Day One!
Hey guys,
I just finished my first day of our PDI of our new to us 07 Marathon H-45… Thanks for all the input over the last couple of weeks… I feel like i have learned a lot in a short time and have a lot more to learn… but it all went well today…
Spent Over an hour just with the explaination of all the controls in the cockpit…. recorded it all and took notes…
I am spending the night in the coach tonight and will cover all the outside and chasis stuff tomorrow… I have a good handle on all the AV and control stuff in the inside…
Couple of things have popped up that I didn’t catch on the first inspection that the seller is going to take care of… so we will be closing on our first Bus tomorrow… don’t get to drive it home until next week… But we are getting excited…
Here are the couple of things that popped up…
1) both fuel filler tubes are pretty rusted on the first 3-4 inches before it hits the rubber hose…… Doesn’t look like there is easy way to clean them up… Tech I am working with here indicated it’s likely from coach being in FL
2) with all this talk of delamination I noticed one panel on the DS side about midway just aft of the salon slide is loose on the lower corner…. perhaps 1/8 to a 1/4 inch gap for about 4-5 inches the panel seems very firm otherwise and there isn’t any indication of water penetration etc…
I think that is it for tonight…
Thanks
Bill
