OB1, and my opinion is you got the best-looking coach on PC! Cannot possibly imagine why you named her the “Da bird”, though?????

I would have Jeff Rowe check it out for sure, and do all the service work done on it, he can do it all one stop shop

Did you get a replacement window from Prevost? or did the window guy “build” the replacement window?

    P&M,

We haven’t taken an XL off our list yet. We saw a PC member’s ’99 Liberty, no slides, in May and we thought was was extremely well put together … my wife especially loved it.

However, I’m not so convinced we can survive with no slides full-timing, so we’re doing a factory tour next month down at Featherlite to look at both the H-3 and XLII. No, we’re not buying new, but my wife can see both models in person to attempt to narrow our search to an XL/XLII or H-3. I also love seeing what’s “under-the-skin” in doing a factory tour, especially since I’ve never done a Prevost factory tour and I look forward to their seeing their monocoque chassis.

Walrus pumps out of Texas makes the TS 800, if memory serves me. We replaced ours grundfos Jetpaq in ourMarathon H before we sold it in 2009. Ran great, $320 including shipping back then. Way quieter than a Grunfos. And the connections match perfectly how Marathon plumbed the GrundfosAll these pumps are, residential booster pumps. Anytime looking at for sale coaches and you spot a bright medium blue water pump, that’s a Walrus brand. I googled that phrase, “residential booster pump” and found Walrus. Heck, the president of the company even took our order!

This is just a personal observation……….Discounts at campgrounds are nice. If the campground does not give a PC discount there is usually one offered for Good Sam, FMCA, or even AAA.

But we have learned over the years that we never make reservations based on a discount, but because the RV park is near where we want to be, has the services we need and can accomodate us. After those needs are met, and only then does a discount become something that would be nice.

When the seminar was put together it was biased towards two specific areas of concern. Safety was the first and perhaps we beat that topic to death with our discussions on tires and the braking systems, but that was important for owners to understand. The balance of the topics which ranged from tools to carry and how to use them, to what we consider to be normal operating temperatures, pressures, etc.

Having a separate program for topics ranging from basic hookup such as sewer hoses, water, electric, etc, hooking up the toad, and assisting the driver with navigation would be an excellent addition. We did have a little time available so something like that could be added to a weekend session such as we just did if there is strong interest.

We need feedback on this plus how to improve the seminar.

IMO that is a fantastic price. If it were really checked out that could be a great deal. If your friends can afford a reserve for updating and repairing items to zero things out it could be a great deal for them. An asking price of $105,000 is a fanstastic starting point anyway. Hope it works out.

Would be nice if there was a concise “first time buyer’s” thread to explain all the basic stuff a new buyer should need to at least be made aware of to look for in a coach. I am well versed with forum sites and digging for info, but there are only so many hours in the day to “dig”. I’d like to read a concise thread about zeroing out a coach right about now.

That looks like an aboslute blast.

No way I am missing the next one. Maybe you guys should video these and charge us losers that don’t make it a fee to learn what we missed. I would be glad to donate our bus for any “how-to” sessions.

Jeff, I hope to meet you one day and more importantly I hope you meet my bus and get it in tip top shape.

Rusty, Definitely use metal clad wire or place in pvc pipe. I ran a 2″ pvc pipe down both sides of the bus under my OTR duct with T’s at points I thought I may add future electrical, catv or low voltage wiring. Ran everything down both sides to my 2nd bay and installed a panel on the drivers side to connect shore power. Plan ahead so if you need to add in the future it will be easy to fish a circuit to the location you need it to go. Mine will work well when I install in motion satellite or rear view camera in the near future. Surely you will miss something but if you plan access to the front or rear (both sides) of the bus it will make it a little easier down the road. Also remember all parks use 50 amp or 30 amp service. Doesn’t leave much room for a lot of electrical useage. Let us know if we can help!! You can do it! MT

i commuted tin a Scenicruiser to boarding school for two years back in the 70’s!!! Probably the only bus i would trade my Liberty for !!! That was an icon as they would drive by, “engine smoking” with the rear engine cover flapping in the wind…..

Like Charles said, we need pics of the scenicruiser interior as the Konisender’s with Liberty were the first to convert a single version into a motorhome….

Hope to make the next session!!! Can’t wait to hear about it!!!!
