Wireing on batterys was wrong. Jon advised me to go by the schematic on rear door. When G&W came out I brought this to their attention and he checked it. Sure enoughe wireing was wrong. He routed the wiring to match the drawing and the Bus started. Did not even need to jump.

You all have fun. I am at ETLC today getting Phase II of my air side replacement work done. We did the brake chambers as part of the first phase. I learn something every time I come here.

Jon, here’s a (very crude) diagram of how a coach could be plumbed which would allow the scenrario I was talking about happen. With the city water/bypass valve closed the coach would operate like most coaches by supplying the coach via the pump only. With it open it allows the coach to not use the pump and the city water provides the pressure for the coach. If the auto fill is activated, with the city water/bypass valve open, it would result in a drop in coach water pressure and engage the pump. You would then be filling your tank with a mixture of pump water and city water resulting in longer fill times.

But without seeing the coach this is all hypothetical as to why the coach pump runs with the auto-fill engaged.

Note that you will probably not be able to register as an RV until the bus has sleeping, cooking and toilet facilities. I believe self-converters often remove the seats and build some very rudimentary and temporary facilities so that they can be registered while they work on the build. Then they rip them out and build the nice interior. Check your state’s requirements for what constitues an RV or Motorhome in the vehicle code. Robert Glines on this site is probalby a good resource.

That is normal, I asked the same question to Joe in St. Antonio Fl, he give me an answer but that was long time ago, I don’t remember what the answer was now. But you can call Joe and ask him as well.

What Bob said is the only way I know you can get water. Be aware if you can hook up to city water you might not be able to flush the toilet, depending on where the accumulator is relative to the toilet and how well the accumulator is pressurized.

I know this will not help you now, but losing the pump has been one of my fears so I added a small back up Shurflo type pump and an accumulator dedicated to the toilet as a backup.

You know, Charles, I could understand if they want to change things going forward, but dropping the bill on me and trying to change it retroactively is baloney.

Liberty wasn’t making money on this, Tom. I just did some googling for Verizon plans and they were basically giving us the service at cost. The problem is that they didn’t anticipate the dramatic increases possible when people with kids got out on the road for the summer.

    Jon,

I’m away from the coach but will check on it tomorrow (Monday). I’m sure I have some type of light/warning as we have so much built into the center computer cluster.

My understanding is that we have four alternators so that we can power all four inverters while going down the road.
