They will make some noise at times, as long as it’s still pulling 10 amps, the element is good. I guess it’s cooking the coolant.

    Hi George –

Can you post a picture of your shower door with the lock? Our door only has a pin that goes through the bottom of the door into the track that secures it in place in a closed position.

    Thanks,

    June

Thanks for the reply, Joel. I had a fitting on a hose to my transmission oil filter that was dripping a bit. I wasn’t sure how much oil I would lose fiddling with it, but it turned out to be a negligible amount. I was afraid I’d have to take the bed apart to get to another fill tube. It’d definitely be quicker to just be patient with the dipstick tube!

Did the tech use a jumper wire to make some part of the A/C system stay on ? Call and ask them

Metal was not bad, we caught it early so not much damage but enough to want to replace all parts even the ones with no damage. So a flush with fresh oil before start up with new filters and another full oil change after 30 miles.

I’m sorry Buddy wasn’t there when I was, I like the idea of the free bus wash. I hope that included cleaning the engine and dusting out the bays? I mean, lets maintain some standards here!

Talking about “The Engine” I’d be remiss not posting a picture of what makes the entire bus happen… As the Masked man would say Hi-oh Silver, away!

You can just make out the new fuel housing and filter just to the bottom left of the compressor.

The longer runs are going to cause a voltage drop. that is a given. But those wire sizes are not for 120V, 30 amp.

I think the question you have to answer is what are your electrical loads going to be? If you can limit the loads to something well under 30 amps you likely are OK. As a rule you never want to contiuously exceed 80% of the circuit breaker rating anyway (24 amps) and with the long run you may want to remain below 20 amps. You have a double whammy to deal with. You want the amps to be as low as practical, yet over a long run like you have the voltage drop is going to cause the amps to increase so if you do not want to dig up the line and replace it you will have to keep loads to a minimum.

Just got a look at a voltage drop table. My total run is 175 ft. and at 110 volts it says it requires a #3 or #4 wire and at 220 volts it requires #6 wire. Am I missing something?

    Thanks,

The primary reason for using my 12V WH right now, except to exercise the Webasto, is that I’m plugged into 30AMP right now. Running one A/C (14AMP) and the 110 WH (12AMP) will usually blow my circuit because I have a fridge running (2AMP) and use my Water Pump (8AMP) when showering.

my responses from having my own children travel with us (now 8 & 11), which started when they were small but we were using a regular trailer… So they were in a pick up truck strapped in to their seats. When we move to a motorhome several years later they understood the idea being strapped in on chairs but definitely love to push the limits. Of course the bathroom is just too interesting of a device to be able to go back and use while underway so they needed to go more often than normal. Once the new factor of that wore off after The first couple trips, and persistence from their mother and I, they have learned as long as they’re strapped in a sofa they can pretty much lay down or do whatever they like within limits. We have a Ton of fun traveling with them. This year we will embark on a new adventure with our new Prevost bus, I can’t wait to see how button inclined they have become with all of the new gizmos. As previously stated above, I think with some training and some strict guidelines put in place upfront, you will be fine. Each year will get easier and easier and thus more enjoyable to have them along.

Something caused a temporary over current situation or the breaker is on the way out. I’d replace the breaker just to eliminate it as the cause.

When mine went out Marathon Ft Worth call Prevost in California who had one in stock. It was overnighted and I had the old one out and the new back in by 10:30 the next day and back on the road. Sticker shock for that little shift pad will wake you up. I kept my old and am going to try to have it rebuilt as a spare.
