What’s the best source? Guessing I need one. Downshift key is erratic, sometimes working normally and sometimes downshifting 2 gears at once. Had one overrev…surprising the computer allowed the downshift so maybe it’s something else?

When mine went out Marathon Ft Worth call Prevost in California who had one in stock. It was overnighted and I had the old one out and the new back in by 10:30 the next day and back on the road. Sticker shock for that little shift pad will wake you up. I kept my old and am going to try to have it rebuilt as a spare.

I’m wondering if it’s cheaper from detroit diesel/allison? There’s one new on ebay for $400 that looks like mine. Haven’t pulled mine yet to ck part #. What did you pay Prevost?

I took my shift pad out, took it apart, cleaned it up real good, reassembled and installed it. Working fine ever since.

If you have to replace it…order from Allison w/Allison part # (not the Prevo #)…almost 500$ diff. Geo.
