Good afternoon PC
The show is fast approaching and we are super excited about the upcoming event!! There is still time to register for our guests that will make the last minute decision, or for those who may have friends on the fence! sign up, it will be fun for sure!
Things have been busy since our visit to Pelican Lake. Two weekends ago we had the opportunity to check out the Rolex 24 hour race. It was an awesome event and it felt like the race went on for an entire day? we met some really great folks and got to watch some incredible racing.
We had a great meeting with the folks from Lakeland Linder Regional Airport and they have been gracious enough to allow us to utilize the Warbird Ramp for our aviation friends that will be joining the show. The Warbird Ramp is located directly to the east of us on the other side of the fence line. The nice part is that all of our friends that fly in will get a taste of the good life when they walk through all of the coaches, both private and for sale. On that note, aviators can join us for $499 if they dont have a coach and who knows, maybe they will leave with one? or better yet, maybe they will purchase one at the show and they can stay with us for the remainder of the week???
This past weekend I had the opportunity to fly to Punta Gorda for the Fat Point Brewery Anniversary Party!!! Such an awesome event. I really do encourage anyone who may be traveling on the Southwest coast of Florida to stop in and check out the brewery, their great food, the awesome beer, and some of the coolest folks ever. The band UNRB was incredible. Of course this was supposed to be a one day trip, but Mother Nature had other plans!!! Remind me to tell you the entire story if you care to hear it, LOL !! For those of you that met Jason “The Beard” from Fat Point and his wonderful wife Tyler in November, Tyler gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Lucy and we are hoping she may be joining us in February!!
My big news for the weekend was Lilly’s 7th birthday! we went to the pet store and she picked out her treats and then on the way home she drove my to Chick Fil-A so she could get some chicken nuggets and waffle fries! Lilly said she is excited to see everyone in February and make friends with our new guests!!! anyway, back to the grind!!

If you want to run with this go ahead. Pilot is in our home town and I know they are responsive because before they had the Good Sam’s relationship it was a pain to pay cash for fuel. Walk in, wait in line, give them a wad or Bnejamins, go back out, refuel, move the coach forward. Go back in, wait in line, get change, drive away.
With the Pilot RV program it is more expensive than Love’s but for a lot of folks it would help to be able to access a PC map for their locations. Would they be willing to provide a bulk listing of their locations AND pay Joe to load them on our map?
And in anticipation of any question abouit pressing them for a fuel program, speaking for myself, Alicia has worked far too many hours on our behalf for us to take a maturing discount program and switch it over to another provider, but if they are willing to let Profit Tool be an aggregator and are willing to work with Profit tool I would be actually willing to wear a suit and tie and meet with them to see what we can do. We are well over 1500 members and climbing so our potential participation is now starting to amount to a lot of gallons.

I experienced th same problem of the missing reply tab. Seems to have started after the change requiring the log in before reading a thread. Have not been able to post until I read the log out and then back in technique and the reply tab reappeared.

Float would be the answer Ed or a timed amount of gen run time to assure full batteries before the stop.

Thought I’d mention the last time my Father was on the road to this extent in a bus was in 1953 when he was a boy scout. He saved for a year and a half for a national club meet in New Mexico. We talked about it on the way. I imagine the bus they were in was a 1950’s GM Silverside, maybe a 4103, 35′ in length with a normally aspirated 6V71 Detroit Diesel. Top speed 62 mph, but traveling Route 66 from town to town it’s doubtful they averaged more than 40 mph. He was a hipster on Highway 66 before traveling on 66 was hip! LOL! 🙂

That’s great, we’ll see you in OKC and we can assure you a good time. As for the reservation, that’s out of our hands, so just make you’re best deal. Sometimes the campgrounds will offer the rally rate for extra days.

Awesome! Sorry, I’m from California — we still say that. 🙂 John and I will be there. I made our reservations, and decided we’ll just stay from the 26th of September until Friday the 3rd of October. They told me that the weekly rate was $270 or $40/night. The gal I spoke with wasn’t sure if I pay for the whole week at once or the rally dates separately. I’m assuming I pay for it altogether, but any thoughts on that?
The “no-rally” sounds perfect — we’re still new to our bus (one year in July) and while we’re in it full time and John has been retired a whole week, I won’t be retired until May 31 so am still teaching 8th grade students science.

I have looked for something like that, but have no idea what it looks like, therefore, I am blind poking. I have even tried looking at the pneumatic schematics to try to trace it down, no luck as of yet, thanks Jon.
I have no response to manually charge the system with the buttons, they do nothing, my accessory tank is not getting charged from the compressor, I have air for brakes, it is definately isolated to the accessory side that supplies air to the tank in the driver compartment. I even charged the tank with an external compressor and everything worked properly, but when the air was exhausted I was back to square one.
I would appreciate any pictures for reference or additional guidance and appreciate the help.

So you are going downhill, in heavy traffic, no gaps to “jump in” and the truck speed limit is 45 miles per hour, and YOUR COACH wants to go 75 MPH – DOWNHILL. Your Jake brake works great, NOT if your coach wants to go like 75 MPH. Sounds like you have a speed management problem not a torque or horsepower problem. Try topping the grade at a slower speed, popping on the Jakes as you go over the top and dropping down one or two gears. That way a stab on the brakes occasionally is all it takes for your coach not to feel like it wants to run 75 MPH.
My hope is that in my travels may you always be in front of me, especially when you are going downhill. The last thing I want is an out of control (interpret that however you want) RV coming down a mountain grade BEHIND me. I’ve seen too many of them already.
Driving a Prevost or other large RV carries an awesome responsibility. We don’t need to run like the wind between destinations. After all, it’s not about the destinations, its about enjoying the journey. Slow down and take in the scenery and live longer too.
