George,
I could never get my 97 Royale full to fuel capacity, the aux tank was mounted vertical and had to gravity feed from the bottom cross over line. I suppose if you had lots of time to keep topping off you could get there, but the trucks won’t be happy waiting behind you.

The control of leaning relates to where the air from the air bags on the side the bus is leaning. In the case of a bus leaning left or right, as opposed to dropping in the front, the primary valve to prevent air from escaping from those air bags is the 5 port Norgren mounted on the bulkhead forward of the drive axle.
When you manually lower a portion of the coach the air escapes from the specific air bags, through the 5 port to escape to atmosphere through the valve shown.
My guess is if you replace the 3 port, you may also find you are going to replace the 5 port in the rear.

Have you check your coolant level? On my Bluebird 8V92, it started, but would shut down after 30 seconds. It ended up that my coolant level was too low.

Don or others:
In replacing the armature, I discovered that the screws holding the armature in are all rusted. Finally got one out but one broke in. Looks like all of the armatures are the same so given the age and status of the entire system I am thinking of replacing the manifold and all of the armatures to make repair more possible down the road. Do you happen to know if the mainfold is available from Norgren? I don’t see it on the Norgren site.
I see a Prevost part number 641205 for $366.85 and wonder if it is a Norgren part which I can get less expensively.
Thanks!

Have you considered redoing the interior of your 2000. The money to purchase a 2015 would more than cover that and every thing would be to your design and choice. Plus you would still not have a DEF engine and many more electronic controls to maintain. Talked to an owner recently that spent $3000 to get a new tablet that replaced his old that died.
All the best in getting a coach you like best.

Having just read these stories that lead weights are better then Centramatics or beads is incredible.
You could have a bent rim issue, you could have an improperly installed rim and tire. This happens when the tire buster does’nt cross torque lug nuts.
You could have a tracking issue. Solved with an 3 axle alignment.
When none of the normal balance solve an issue we should look elsewhere. Having u-joints replaced, Having drive shaft rebalanced.
all the new tires balanced out with less than 7oz of weight except drivers tag, that one took 18oz. Requested a different tire. Shop had me come back a week later and installed a different tire, that one still took 12oz to balance.
When this tire took the above weight did the tire buster rotate the tire 180 degrees on rim and recheck ?

The base is named in honor of U.S. Navy Lt. Seymour A. Johnson, a native of Goldsboro. Johnson, a test pilot, was killed in an aircraft crash near Norbeck, Md., March 5, 1941.

Just wanted to mention that the 2016-2018 Lincoln MKX and the new 2019-2021 Lincoln Nautilus have a different ‘four down’ towing procedure.
The Nautilus has a different transmission that requires a ‘manual park release’ procedure whereas the MKX has a ‘neutral tow mode’ to select.
Safe travels,

Don,
I will pull the diagrams tonight. I replaced that valve yesterday with a new one, hoping that was the issue, so I do not suspect it is the valve and it is much more likely your 3rd option – “it’s still getting pilot air, not allowing the spool valve to close all the way, from a bad norgren up stream. This is a whole other can of worms.”
When I get the diagram I try to figure out which valve drives the pilot and likely head that direction.

Davey,
I never had an issue prior, but upon hitting a bump associated with the expansion joint on a road the front end of my Grand Cherokee started to wobble and vibrate. I slowed down and it stopped.
When I got home I realized the steering dampener (looked like a shock absorber laying on its side) had signs of oil leakage so I replaced it. A 1/2 hour job. Never had a problem again.
The Jeep at the time was pushing 250,000 miles driven and towed.
I don’t know if that is what the wobble is, but if it was that is not a deal breaker because it was a cheap fix.

The K910026 = Norgren.com # K41EA00KAS1KA2, $66. It is a normally closed 3port/2 way spool valve. It is normally closed because there is a spring on one end that pushes the internal spool closing the pathway whenever pilot air is not present at the other end.
So problems could be:a) internal corrosion to the spool and or bodyb) o-rings are bad on the spoolc) or it’s still getting pilot air, not allowing the spool valve to close all the way, from a bad norgren up stream. This is a whole other can of wormsMy suggestion is to pull up your bus air diagram on the Prevost website. Then you can see the air path. Next you might want to pull that valve apart and see what’s going on. You can buy a new one from Prevost, Norgren, or ebay.Mike Harper
