Marathon Blind Control Logic Boards
I thought I would share a learning on my Marathon in hopes it might help someone down the road. My 2004 had two logic boards over the drivers door that controlled the Curb Side and Driver Side blinds with control from two Rocker Switches and the Crestron system. One of the logic boards failed entirely and the other was intermittent on one…

Marathon Hubcap Standoff Bolts
Just a quick update. It is 8-1.25 all right handed so I ordered couplers from McMaster and threaded rod, new washers, locks, and nuts from Grainger. I am going to use stainless 316 and rebuild all 12 so I don’t have any more breaks and they are 22 years old. Thanks to George for the push to just buiuld it myself with red loctite.

Marathon Hubcap Standoff Bolts
I saw a discussion around this from 10 years ago, so thought I would refresh for any new experiences. I broke one of the standoff bolts that hold the bracket for the hubcap and wanted to see if anyone found a good source before I call Marathon next week and see what they might have. Attached is the pic. Not exactly sure on thread size but…

Drop Door on Marathon closing by itself
I have a new to me 2004 Marathon, and the drop door for the Sewer and Power closes by itself. It opens just fine then over a relatively short time creeps closed to the level where it compresses the sewer hose slightly.
I opened up the front and see the cylinder and air connections. I checked the air connections for leaks and see none. Maybe…

I used this kit for the mounting hardware – Starlink Standard Mount | Gen 3 or 4 and Enterprise – Veritas Vans.
I don’t have a picture handy, but I installed it in the middle of the front of the bus. We put the router and power supply in the equipment space over the passenger seat area. Was pretty easy with power existing in place. Then we ran…

Undercarriage Spray Foam - Kracken Bond
Ron, I thought I would see if you ended up using this? I have a small section where the foam has fallen off and I want to put something on to protect the wood.
Thanks!

I have used hotspots, Starlink, and Verizon home internet 5G. If you are moving around a lot, I would definitely go with Starlink. We have it installed on the roof with magnets which allows us to take it down and move it if we happen to park under trees. We have 150 ft of cable stored behind the front bumper for when on the ground, but most…

Marathon Bathroom Door Locked from inside
Thanks for the replies. Turns out that in my coach the bathroom does not have an emergency release on the outside – only the inside. I spoke with Marathon and the answer is to turn off the 12/24V power which resets the lock and then you can push the button to open it. Next time I will know.

Marathon Bathroom Door Locked from inside
Hi,
I have a new to me 2004 Marathon XLII. Last night it appears someone went to the bathroom and somehow pressed the lock when leaving and closing the door so now we can’t open it from the outside. I know there is an emergency release on the inside, but I don’t know how you open it from the outside in this scenario., I will call Marathon…

Marathon Water System Question
Terry thanks for the reply. That is what I would like to do, and I plan to install a RO under the kitchen sink for drinking water which is what we have today on our XL. I just didn’t know given their 110-volt pump if they suggested a different approach which is what someone told me. Thanks!

Marathon Water System Question
We are about to get a “new to us” Marathon XLII moving from a custom-built XL. I have a question for any Marathon owners. Someone told me the Marathon water system is designed to fill the freshwater tank and use the 120V pump to support your water needs then only use the campground water supply to fill the tank. We are accustomed to…
