  • Marathon Hubcap Standoff Bolts

Posted by Michael on March 28, 2026 at 12:21 pm

I saw a discussion around this from 10 years ago, so thought I would refresh for any new experiences. I broke one of the standoff bolts that hold the bracket for the hubcap and wanted to see if anyone found a good source before I call Marathon next week and see what they might have. Attached is the pic. Not exactly sure on thread size but they attach the stemco hubcap to the wheel so will be the same as all bolts that do the same. Thanks for any suggestions if anyone has replaced them.

    Thanks!

Just a quick update. It is 8-1.25 all right handed so I ordered couplers from McMaster and threaded rod, new washers, locks, and nuts from Grainger. I am going to use stainless 316 and rebuild all 12 so I don’t have any more breaks and they are 22 years old. Thanks to George for the push to just buiuld it myself with red loctite.
