I bought a enclosed trailer to haul my bike and car. The trailer is 20ft box, 27ft overall 12.6 ft tall. All aluminum construction and only weights 1750lbs. I wanted a trailer because I missed bringing my bike to florida in the winter.Yes you will have to plan ahead where you go. Some campgrounds have a tractor that could move a trailer around. Something you may want to consider. Getting a wheel on the bottom of the trailer jack and all aluminum construction. You may find the wheel to be handy in tight spots to move the trailer around. Aluminum is about 1/2 the weight of steel. Rick

Well I think a great time was had by all. Cudos to Jon and Tom and Spouses for such a great rally. Jon and Tom are going to need lots of input for the next rally, so everybody think for the next six months of where they would like to go.
They are going to need all the help they can get to plan the next one.
By the way Gil, I could really have used your help with the (LIBERTY CROWD), seems as though they don’t take a shinning to Country Coaches !!!!!!!!!!! I took some major abuse. We almost had them out numbered.
Next year be ready.
All in fun of course………….I think.
P. S. I am the only coach owner that didn’t require Prevost to come inspect my coach for something wrong. HAHA that will be the day.
Thanks Guys, it was great.

Denver now.
Checked for a pressure regulator dedicated for the floor slide – no got. Followed the air line out of the aux compressor box in the steering compartment to a water filter, then the pressure regulator for the compressor itself, then to a manifold with several airlines attached down on the floor of the steering compartment, of which one line goes up to the top of the compartment where that dual solenoid valve that controls the floor’s direction of movemnt is mounted, the two lines out of that device goes to the slide cylinder which is out of sight. So no regulator.
I could hear the air leaking again today in the steering compartment, but amazingly I cannot put my finger on it. As long as it makes noise, I will eventually get it. Going into the aux compressor box when I get home.
Called Troy today, he said they are now wiring that dual solenoid valve to a keyed voltage source so when your sitting it is dormant. Guess that infers it use to have 24 volts all the time and leaks because of it. He never said how to get the slide cylinder out. Going to do what Glens did with the lube procedure as our floor has the same symptoms. I got under the floor with it slid out with the stethoscope and could not hear any air leaking on the end of the cylinder that I could see.

Charged it today. Coach ac is still 20f delta input to ouput and dash is 10f still. So nothing changed other than the condenser fans no longer cycle. The lower recv site glass red ball is floating high and no more bubbles in the dryer site glass. Its 85f outside and the low reads 35psig w/high reading 210psig, R134a chart says it should be 45-55/225-250 @ 85f, so I am off there based on the chart.
I cant find a filter for the dash air on this coach. I remove the narrow vent at the base of the dash and I can’t find anything that resembles a filter….

Well, maybe yes, maybe no. Plenty of room in the stacker but where do you put your newly acquired “stuff” in the Smart Car, seems to me there’s room for your *** and a gallon of gas but………………….
As for the topic at hand I think its best that we agree to disagree. I have destroyed a new Ford Explorer towing it, I tore up the front end from the turning, sandblasted the paint from the nose, broke a few windshields and never drove it anywhere anyway, especially when I was at home. By the time you factor in tow bars, wiring, brakes, transmission stuff on many, maybe a drive shaft disconnect; thats not to mention broken knuckles, bleeding, asking “the wife” to back you………. and less I forget that every present opportunity to add square tires……. Cannot find a rental car, try a cab they are everywhere and you remove an additional aggrevation, parking in a strange land plus if you are at the races, the game or what ever you can enjoy a cold adult beverage without worry!

That is one reason I have always wonder why the difference for the different positons.

The compressor oil was in the middle of the sight glass on both sides of the compressor, so good to go there.

Robert,
What a diverse set of skills you have. Beyond that, the willingness to take on such a big project is impressive. Keep us posted on the conversion.

The Headhunter works on the venturi principle and to evacuate the toilet it requires a large flow of water under relatively high pressure.
I am assuming Royale designed the entire system correctly so my starting point would be to determine if something has reduced the dlow rate. Is the pump kicking on and delivering a good flow of water? Is the line to the toilet kinked or impeding water flow?
If the coach has an accumulator tank has the accumulator tank lost pressure and does it need an adjustment to the pressure on the bladder?
FWIW I recently installed a 1.4 GPM back up water pump in case my Mach 5 quits. But to get that to deliver the needed flow and pressure to flush the toilet I added an accumulator tank that discharges directly in line with the toilet flush valve. That anemic pump will pressurize the accumulator tank to 60 PSI and even though it will never be able to flush the Headhunter toilet on its own the accumulator delivers its whole contents almost immediately and the toilet works as it should.
The Headhunter toilet is all about flow rate and pressure. It only requires a quart or two but if it gets that delivery at the rate and pressure required even JDUB can use my toilet.

Marathon Coach does use two inverters. We find that this configuration is best although we would be happy to build a coach with four inverters and extra batteries if a customer made the request.
With our current system, if you are driving or dry camping and exceed the ablilities of the two inverters the generator will start and can easily handle all the coaches needs.
While we can add inverters, we have found that most people don’t like giving up the extra space and weight. Also, if you are utilizing all four inverters you are draining the batteries fast, even with extra batteries added. Again, extra batteries, extra weight and space used.
Draining and recharging batteries at an excellerated rate heats the batteries and shortens their life.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Marthon currently produces an average of one coach a month, most of which are custom orders. We have FOUR spec Show Coach models on the production floor now. Two of which will be at our Newport Beach rally next month, a third at the Tampa Show, and a fourth for Indio this winter.
Marathon is growing, adding empoloyees, producing spec coaches, and attending events.
You did find the one the one thing on our web site that needs to be updated which I will take care of. Otherwise you can visit our photo gallery and inventory pages which are always up to date regarding new and used coaches.
If you are interested, we have an upcoming episode on Extreme RVs and two on Celebrity RVs. Other recent publicity can be found on NFL.com over the Cowboys coach as well as DUB magazine and Travis Barker’s coach.
Look for a brand new Marathon web site after the first of the year.

My experience in northern Florida for many winters, has shown that the Aquahot 1500 watt electric heater will keep the coach warm down to about 50 degrees. It is surprising how much heat the refrigerator expels.
Having had both the basic Webasto and now an Aquahot, I appreciate the flexibility of the Aquahot. In either case, Webasto recommends the nozzles be changed yearly, regardless of how little use.
BTW, I have always wondered what the inside of the Aquahot heating coils looked like. I appreciate the picture.

Hey Bill, I put new rims on my coach a few months back. The company’s name was Image Driven the owner is Brent Adams 949-903-5500 They do an exchange. They can chrome yours or just trade yours in. I’ll try to find there web site and post it tomarrow. It is expense but at least no more polishing at $50 a piece . I tell you what I paid but if Judy finds out from this post I’m a dead duck!! You know what I mean??

Yea, looks good, I’m going to do the same when I get home.
Question, Is the oil level lower than the fitting on the engine? Do I have to drain oil, or can I change the line without draining?

Gil,
My schematics are at the coach. I have two 100-AMP equalizers, it looks like I need to check to make sure the equalizer 12v side is not hooked to both battery banks.
I have a total of eight 8D batteries, four on each side of the coach. So 4 of them make up the 24V battery bank and the other the 12V battery bank. Based on the drawings I reviewed in the Vantare schematics, It appears that the 12V battery bank can also be consumed by the Inverters as they are tied to the inverters through the eqaulizer.
I will check the schematics on how the 12v side of the equalizer is setup when I go to the shop tomorrow. But I would suspec that Vantare knew what they where doing and setup them up this way. I believe the reason the batteries are warmer on one side vs the other is because the inverter is charging them and the equalizer is then transfering power to keep the voltage within spec.
