Thise who own their coach free and clear can certainly self insure for the accident coverage. But if the coach has been financed they are out of luck.

The cruelest part is if they have a loan balance that exceeds the market value and the insurance company decides how much to pay in a total loss and it is less than loan balance by far, the owner is on the hook for the difference.

If an owner can get agreed value coverage but understates its value to save money the insurance company can write a check in the event of a loss, either resell the coach or pay for repairs and sell it and walk away with little out of pocket and the owner hasn’t any way to cover the real difference between the agreed value and true market value. It is a complicated issue and it seems to be getting very bad.

It looks like a Bendix Quick Release Valve. See p.28 of this 116 page pdf file: LINK

There’s a bunch of different valves, but there is just 1 maintenance kit, # 104463.

Call Prevost Parts, they should have the correct one, or cleanup your old valve and find the original pt#.

I am 100% in favor of denying government money it typically uses in ways I really object to. So if someone has a means by which the government wizards are kept away from money I applaud them.

But going the Montana route has risks and if it is to be done make sure the effort minimizes the risks. Some states want your money and have been relentless in going after it, and often they can not only get the taxes due, they impose some serious fines.

Do your homework. Do not take legal advice from owners who have just been lucky. The last thing you want is to be a visible target.

    Ron

This is a typical steel building used in our area for oilfield service companies. Ideal Steel, Inc., in Broussard, LA and S & S Steel Buildings, Inc., in Arnaudville, LA both design, fabricate, and erect these type buildings. This building is 40′ x 100′ with a 23′ eave height.. Overhead Door makes these doors as heavy wind rating required for gulf coast hurricanes with electric openers. Building is a drive through so have two doors on each end. We used liner panels on walls to hold insulation and used a basket system for ceiling. (2 ) two four ton heat pumps handles the humidity…

You can check their websites for further interest. I have used S & S many times and very pleased with product and service. Let me know if you need further.

Shore cord should not at anytime be getting power from generator. Sounds like as Jon mentioned the contractor has failed. This could also cause issue running gen going down the road with cord in as the power cord end could contact the coach body as this is a small area with cord in. Needs checked out asap

I suspect a lot of coaches that had delam issues were permanently repaired and a lot were inspected were deemed free of defects.

But we know not every Prevost owner accesses sites like this one where they learn of potential problems that will require an inspection. Others choose to ignore problems. The point being there are still likely coaches with a delamination problem and to repair the coach it is not unreasonable to expect the total cost of a repair to approach or exceed as much as $50,000.

A buyer can do a preliminary test by using knuckles to rap on the skin, listening for the distinctive sound of a panel that is loose compared to the sound of a panel secured to the frame. But Prevost pressurizes the coach and loose panels that may not be detected by rapping on them will show as a skin panel blowing soap bubbles around the sections of the perimeter, some being under the bands that run around the coach on top of the panel edges.

If I were to buy a coach I would err on the side of caution by getting an insection at my expense just to know for sure the coach is OK. A seller that will not allow such inspection has every right, but I also have the right to walk away.

They hope the a buyer will be hypnotized by all the BLING.

Be strong. You obviously didn’t look directly into all that polished stainless and/or mirrors. If you do, they gotcha.

But seriously, what about the mx records for the hundreds of other things??

I bought my Prevost from Steve Bennett, founder of Arizona Luxury Coach, in 2016 and I will say that he went out of his way to make sure I received all the information I desired. Very thorough in his explanation of the operation and systems and provided a detailed service history. I would go back to Steve and would recommend that others give him a try.

    Good luck on your search,

    Doug
