Jon do you have a count on active posters? With 4500 members it seems there are a small number of active posters. I am sure that there are a lot of valuable information or experiences that could be contributed to the forum.

I know a lot of people are hesitant to post on a forum.

I don’t mean to make trouble between Tom and Jon (Hee-Hee-Hee) but that kind and type of interior is only possible with the liberal use of dues money, something Tom is well known for NOT sharing! And of course good taste! Far be it from me to cause descention in the ranks.

    Sure Jon.

    1. The over pressure/over temp protection valve on the water heater might be bad and tossing water out the discharge. While highly unlikely, a previous owner might have plumbed the discharge into a waste line and into the holding tank. As the coach goes down the road with the water pump on as the DD heats the water heater tank the bad valve will release and the pump will slowly move the water from the fresh water tank to the holding tank.

    2. A faucet in the coach might be leaking a touch. If the DD is heating the water in the water heater and the water pump is on, as the water in the water heater gets hot it expands and is pushed out the slightly leaking faucet with the help of the water pump. Out the faucet, down the drain and into the holding tank.

I hope Ron is wrong. I’ll stop there to avoid this turning into a political discussion.

But his observation about people assuming Prevost owners are wealthy is pretty accurate. I have no idea what the average definition of wealthy is but for about 30 years my wife and I have been made very aware that our Prevost coaches suggest to the world we have great wealth.

We hear it in truck stops when refueling. The drivers that do engage in conversation make it clear only the mega rich can have a coach like a Prevost. In campgrounds people are more polite, but they still send the message “I wish I could afford a Prevost”. Sometimes the people saying that have a brand new Signature that had to have cost far more than I ever spent on my coaches.

The point is clear. Whether it is politicians who cannot keep their hands from our pockets, or the average citizen we are not universally viewed favorable, we got the money to buy our coach by cheating someone, and we are supposed to share what we have.

For the first couple of weeks of Prevost ownership we thought it was fun seeing people taking videos or photos or us or the coach, or groups of people in a campground stopping in front of the coach and discussing it, but we no longer appreciate the attention. In fact we try to be nice, we wave or smile or nod our heads at others, but we tend to be withdrawn unless we are at a PC rally or event, and then we are begging for dues money.

I do promise to give 100% of my share of dues money to the government if if needs a little something until the next payday.

Service at Prevost WG is very good. I have an account with Prevost and they have always been very slow at sending or emailing an invoice. Sometimes a couple of months.

A couple of days ago I got a call from a collection agency in Quebec looking for payment for work done in May (less than $2k) for which I never received a bill or a phone call from Prevost. I had forgotten all about the work done.

This is not the way a ‘first class’ organization treats good, regular customers.

Thanks Tom. Have my second poor quality Michelin experience with tag 365. Three inch chunk of tread off side wall tread 14/32 tread depth on side wall, 15/32 in middle. Very few miles on this one as well. Taking to dealer next week for adjustment. Never had this problem with 315’s and many more thousands of miles on them. Like buying newer cars. Poorer quality 👎

I have also had both roof and basement air conditioning . On one hand there basement units are quiet , in fact inside you dont even know there on at times. But, when sitting outside the heat that comes out from the bottom of the bus will chase you away . In fact our dog wont even think about going under the bus . Also I used to like the white noise when at truck stops . With the basement units we had to buy a noise machine . We spend many a night at truck stops and rest stops . Space is not a issue for us we just carry less .
