There is no such thing as a Prevost Country Club. I will guess that you are referring to a Prevost Country Coach. If it has one of the most awesome paint jobs you have ever seen, it’s likely a Country Coach. However, don’t let looks fool you into jumping into something that could cost you dearly! The XLII chassis is a risky purchase if not verified by Prevost (no one else) as not having delamination issues. Without that knowledge the potential repairs exceed $40,000.

This is not the fault of Country Coach and the Country Coach product is an excellent coach. You just have to ensure that you don’t confuse the 2 because you like one thing or another.

    Ouch!!

Where are you located? Its possible you can find an experienced two stroke Detroit Diesel mechanic who recently retired and is open to doing jobs like yours.

Another option is American Fleet in Springfield, Missouri. (417) 865-4420 They have quite a bit of experience with both two and four stroke Detroit Diesels.

if you reroute the crankcase breather preturbo it acts as a crankcase syringe and will pull vacuum. Increased power and mpg.

Thinking about this ..over a long period of time oil fumes blow by will clog your CAC (charge air cooler) . Do you really want to do that ?

My guess is if I want engine information I am better off not asking a company that can weld a bus frame and install seats.

I’m pretty sure Detroit is not where I am going to ask Prevost questions.

I the beginning the coach would start fine like 3 seconds than shutoff after 30 seconds like clockwork. After reading the codes I am sure this is a coolant sensor and I am looking for the PN.

Right now the coach will not turn over at all. From either front or engine bay I just have a click of the solenoid and nothing else, not a hint of noise from the starter.

    Voltages are good

    Solenoid is good

Batteries are good (each) and total (24v in all the right places)

Tonight I will try to access the starter and check for power when the starter button is pressed to rule out the starter but other than that I am stuck and baffled

    Fujimo:

From the records that came with the bus I looks like the shocks were replaced about 6 years ago, they or regular Prevost shocks (non adjustable). Definitely a good thought though.

    Gmjdw:

Interesting comment on quality of paving these days. FL ST RD 27 in front of our community was just repaved a couple of months ago and they are already tearing up big sections to redo it again. Guess I shouldn’t be using newly paved roads to judge a vibration.

Today will be a good day to check . We made it to our factory in S.C. and temps expected to be 50 . Thats better than 0 to 10 where we were . I like the idea of the pressure gauge sounds easy .

It was even hotter than 220 maybe 260 as the gauge only goes to 250 and it was buried. When I opened the doors steam and a burning smell was strong. I used to think it strange needing to add coolant after 6 days or so . I could see small puddle on ground near the overflow tube but since she would run I ignored it . After all it only had 1,100 hrs on her .

It supplies air to the parking brake from either the primary or secondary tank.

The parking brake requires air to hold the spring closed and brake pads off the drums/disk. If the primary system has a leak, the secondary system supplies the parking brake air. And visa versa. Only when both systems run out of air are the parking/emergency brakes applied. Hopefully you are stopped or you will be soon.
