  • Advice Requested for Removing a Splendide 2000

Posted by Ronald on June 6, 2020 at 6:33 pm

I am looking for advice on how to remove a Splendide 2000. What do I need to know on how to do this? It is in a closet in the stateroom.

My guess is that the unit comes out the front window like the refrigerator.

It’ll come out through the entry door. It’s probably retained by a removable strip on the closet floor in front of it. It’s heavy. Need two strong young guys.

If your going to fix it or save it Muscle it out, otherwise take it apart and take it out in pieces.

The unit has no operating issues. We just want the closet space.

Over the next few weeks I will work on removing the unit.

Thanks for each of the comments.

    Ron:

Keep us updated on your progress. I will need to remove my stacked washer/dryer to get to the air cylinder for the pocket door. Not looking forward to it.

Certainly, Chuck. I had surgery a week and half ago so what I can and cannot do is limiting. I am going to work on this in small phases so I do not reverse any of my surgical healing.

    Bob,

It has not gone yet. Wife wants it out before a trip in June. I have three strapping son’s that will serve the brute force necessary to get it out of the coach.

However, if anyone is need of one and wants to come work with me to get it out, I will be glad to get this done earlier.

Ron, I would be very interested in your unit . We use ours most days however this one could go any day and it would be great to have a spare . Tex or call if I’m in the running .

I have a factory in S.C. so i could stop up before your June departure .

    Al,

Looks like you are the only one thus far that wants this Spendide2000. Come up and help me get it out and it is yours. eMail me and I will provide my personal cell phone so that we can discuss.

I have one in the pole barn you can have as well. Took it out his year and replaced with more shelves.

Contact me if anybody needs a spare.

Thomas, removing and adding shelves, or a closet, is exactly what the best half wants to be done.
