Real men wash their own coach. I’m still a real man because I still wash my own coach.
It used to involve water, wash mits, scrub brush, and a long pole plus a ladder to get up to the top to dry it, but now it also involves Motrin. Lots of Motrin.

Seriously, as otheda have said, you’ve got your annual costs such as storage’ insurance and basic maintenance, your amortised costs such as tires and suspension parts etc. Fuel for the year based on the current approx. Cost/gall and the number of miles you forecast doing in that year. Add on a guestimate annual amount (put to one side) for unforeseen maint, write off the initial cost of the bus (the elephant) and you might not be far off. If you then sell the bus further down the road for a few dollars, then that’s the icing on the cake.
Thats how I will look at it. Buy it for the enjoyment, (smiles per mile) work out some basic annual costs for budgeting and don’t think about what you may or may not get back when you sell.

Larry, I think you will find that even shops that sell them rarely have the set you need for the steers and tag in stock. They are different than the steers for big trucks and the duals, which most shops carry.
When I was in a hurry I found it impossible to get Centramatics from any shop near LA without significant delay or $$$ express shipping. We ended up getting BalanceMasters. Same concept but different execution.
Most of the chain truckstops (Pilot/Flying J, Loves, T/A) carry and can install Centramatics if they have service facilities and can get them from their own central warehouse. Worth calling around if you are in a hurry. Like I said, none near LA had them in stock when I tried.

I don’t have a stacker, but I have a flat bed I have towed with a 1/2 ton. The trailer had funtioning trailer brakes and the most I have had on it made its weight around 9500 pounds.
I’ll be candid…….It scared me to death because I was always aware if the trailer wheels locked up or otherwise started sliding I was in serious trouble. So as a result I was exceedingly careful and drove very slow when going down hills with a stop at the bottom.
I now tow it with a Freightliner dump truck. No concerns now.

Ken, relax….we’ve been to Belle Terre and they have no problem with our “Buggy”s age….and I can tell a story of one time there with PC when a minor accident occurred that was a little embarrasing. See you there.

If you think talking about a bigger engine gets you cheap shots, wait until those Marathon guys start in on you. It used to be the CC guys picking on us Liberty owners, but I believe they are all hiding behind their plastic shields.
Envy. That’s all it is.
BTW, I want more HP too but I also want to get better mileage than the 9 MPG I am getting now.
