AITA Fuel Discount Program
A few minutes ago I received an email with the aforementioned subject line. Does anyone know about this and/or is it in any way related to, or a competitor of our fuel card program – which by the way I appreciate each time I take the bus out. Just thought I’d lob this out there before I went any farther.

I don’t know if it is coincidental or not but late last week I had a call from a fellow who represents a national discount program and he made some very impressive claims. I looked into it and found his own web site did not even agree with the claims he made. It turns out the promised discounts were not available to the extent he claimed because he neglected to tell me (and the site is silent on) the fact the program is a credit card so the base price is the credit card price and all discounts are from that.
He made further claims about how the program is accepted by all, yet in fact it was not. I also found out users of the program had difficulty with errors and had problems getting service to correct the errors. Some users were so frustrated they dropped the program. The bottom line is the program had only one strong benefit to it, and right now Alicia and Brian of Profit Tools are working on adding that benefit to our program. We will make that announcment as soon as possible.
My point is simple. Make us aware of any programs out there and Tom or I will investigate fully, and if it will benefit PC members we will make you all aware. We spent a long time investigating fuel discount programs prior to working with Alicia to create the current one. Our growing membership numbers now attracts far more attention that we got earlier, but so far no proposals come close to the benefits we have with the existing program.

I have applied and asked for details which are sadly lacking.
I cannot find out how much, if it is off cash or credit price, it we can swipe and go, what locations offer discounts, how billing works, etc.

I received the email too. I do not know anything about the fuel program but that is the company that is involved with the NAPA discount card, right?

AITA is in fact how we are accessing the NAPA fleet discount.
I suspect that is how email addresses are being accessed. We NEVER give out any email addresses.

Recieved one (email) a couple days ago myself. I guess we will all use Jon as the Guinea Pig. Hope they don’t have to do any prodding or give blood on Him as our DUES will surely will go up.

If that is the case, then perhaps their website can be used to find participating NAPA stores, thinking back to the thread on which stores do/don’t honor the discount card?

Yeah Andy, would be helpful to have a list of napa stores as none around me (60 miles) will honor them. Not corporate stores they say.

The NAPA list is under the Information tab on the AITA website, together with a bunch of other info such as truck stops and height/width restrictions. Pick a state then scroll thru the list of towns/cities.

I got the email. Ended up in my spam folder though. Deleted it as I figured the other discount program is working well for me.
As for the NAPA discount, I have used that card and have yet to find a place that doesnt accept it. Used it at four or five stores in the Atlanta Area, Florida, Tennessee, Kansas, Washington… Showed them the card and they took it. One place had to do a search on the name and not on the abreviation on the card (couldnt find it under AITA). But that was the only issue I have had with it.

Andy Thanks. Looked up and found stores that accept. Closest store Austin Tx. 70 miles west of me.
