I guess it all depends upon your point of view…

POV You are exactly right. It is just hyperbole in the end. Go for it, might find out that it is the best thing that ever happened to you.

    Watch those right-handers.

As the writer Okie may have chosen to modify or rewrite it.

It was a good post but the writer can edit as he sees fit.

Every now and then I will write something and post it, and then afterwords get to thinking about it, mulling it around in my mind and pull it. In this case, I thought it was caustic in nature, too negative, so I yanked it. There are times when I will make a call such as this, usually I am right on the money.

I can email you a copy Al, just get in touch with me and I will zip it up to you in KC.

I might be able to offer some insight, and maybe Okie might consider reposting the original.

I visit all the bus sites I can. Great information, lots of neat ideas, and some great people on them. Some of our members are on the same sites so I’m not the only Prevost owner that visits sites mostly about homebuilding.

Okie is one of our members that also visits these sites. Lately some of the sites have had some “pissing contests” mostly about the practical aspects of bus ownership. It is expensive and as we know if we defer some costs, such as tires or maintenance it can get very expensive when things go wrong.

Okie made a few posts pointing out the obvious in his normal humorous fashion on the other sites. Some of the members of the two sites in particular that had those discussions got somewhat argumentative. The conversations turned into snide remarks and personal attacks. At least one thread got so bad it was locked. The newbie that started the conversations by asking questions was in the middle of some of the controversy and I think he got kicked off. In other words a conversation that should have been a civil discourse got nasty.

I think I understand why Okie might be sensitive to how others feel and might be concerned about irritating PC members. In my opinion his initial post was a good one and was well worth reading.

Geeeee….Never got any feeling of a snide remarks to anyone or any thing on this site.

IMHO……BCO has always been welcome here never stepping over the line. PC members are the best and it’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a member and have him as a member of this fine group.

This entire site was built on sarcasm, snide remarks, insulting posts, and ball breaking.

We lie when we give answers because it is easier to make things up than to find the correct answers. The dues are excessive, and generally speaking I don’t know why anyone reads the forum.

Other than that this site is OK.

Just having read the Coach Owner Training under the General Discussion tab, you can easily see that everyone on this site wears their feelings on their sleeve and are easily annoyed…Yeah, RIGHT! I belong to and read a lot of blogs, but I keep retrning to this group simply because I can lerk and read and chuckle. It seems that most here have the same warped, wierd, Uh, unusual, , hmmm, OK just plain SICK sense of humor that I have, and it is great fun reading all of the bickering about brands, etc. while still receiving great, informative suggestions and directions on how and why these coaches do what they sometimes do. We all goof from time to time and step in the doggie poo, but everyone here tells their tails of woe and we all get a good laugh because we all know that something will happen to us as well. As all retractable pilots say,”you have, or you will, if you fly enough, land with the gear up.” That, my friends is why I hung up the pilot’s license…I havent had that horible ‘scraping sound’ experience and I never intend to do so. Saying that does not mean that I will not do something really stupid in the future.

All I can say is keep the humor and banter heading this way as I, for one, enjoy it. Laughter, is indeed, the best medicine and life is so much sweeter when you are smiling.

Boy, how well us Liberty owners know. Fortunately we are rough and tough and mostly mean and we can handle the potshots coming our way.

If we can’t laugh at ourselves sometimes and with others, the world would be a boring place… I’ve never seen anyone on here take a “cheap” shot at anyone regarding anything… I think it’s great that we can use our sense of humour in combination with things we need to know… sure helps out on a “shitty” day sometimes !!

    Love it !!

    Keep ’em coming guys !!
