    dick,

    thanks for the reply.

It is is an amazing ride / drive. – absolutely love it. 850 miles home, and not even tired from the traveling.

I do normally carry a ir temp gun – a lesson learned when I had a Itasca with basement air. I Flew in to Nashville, so I didn’t have it with me… I meant to grab it, and forgot :-(. One of those things when the work week goes by like a blur (things get forgotten )

the meat thermometer is a good Idea -I’ll definitely grab one.

I swung by jeffs to pickup a brake buddy I purchased from the “flea market” –

he jumped on board for a few minutes for us to show him a couple items – I had not used the heat on OTR , so I was unaware at that time other wise I would have had him assist right then.

For now now she is inside awaiting the next trip. Perhaps that will be back down to TN for the seminar. I’m trying to work that out with my work schedule. Till then the OTR will stay off.

Ok, you convinced me to go with the 630259(1R11-244) Mae West shape for the steer. So I called Kathy in Elgin and made the change. The cheaper $ helped convince me too 🙂

    Jon,

You’re preaching to the choir when it comes to having required training. This is the song I’ve been singing to various manufacturers and even the RVIA. This is also the type of training I’m seeking before taking the responsibility of a vehicle this size. Personally, I’m finding it irresponsible that the manufactures simply hands the keys to whoever has the right sized checkbook and, while we’ve never met, I have a reputation for invoking change in various industries.

If you’ve seen my videos on my website or YouTube channel, you’ll see that proper and professional training is an important factor to me. My introdutory video from La Mesa RV and another one with Mel at Motorhomes of Texas should document the importance I’m placing on training.

The bottom line: We’re on the same page.

Some of the systems using the HWH control, automatically go into the drive/travel position once the park brake is released. You might be able to raise the coach with the HWH control and then have to turn the Prevost control off of the road position to hold it there during your transition over obstical….

Just for comparison on a non EGR engine……

Our bus had a serious engine oil leak in the front. Repair required bumper to be removed and the engine pulled back. The engine exterior was cleaned and the oil leak repaired. While the engine was in plain site the rocker cover was removed and the lifters adjusted.

We travel at 65 mph most often on cruise control. Performance is real smooth and to me feels like the sweet spot.

Our mileage has been 7.3 mpg average and even better with a good tail wind, pulling our 2010 Acadia 90 % of the time at 4800 lbs.

On my iPhone you can get a “silent” ringtone. Make it the default… Then assign a regular ringtone to those you want to hear. The scammers still call…. But you won’t hear it.

You can also block numbers. I have quite a big list of blocked numbers now…. No solar company can get me now!

All this phone junk annoys me too. I can’t wait to be successful enough to have someone else deal with my phone!!
