Peter, just curious, why is Liberty the worst?
With the battery capacity that we have and the huge generator, I would think dry camping would be a breeze. Obviously, we wont’ be dry camping much (Prevost seminar at ETLC in Oct.), but will at the seminar.
Safe travels,
Mark

Thanks for visiting Wisconsin and spending your money with us. I’ve heard the Lambeau Field tour is well worth the effort, time, and expense. As a “local” we often don’t appreciate what we have right down the street!
Could you see how things are coming along with the dismantling of the Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant?

The Godfather claimed he was in upstate NY, but I think I saw a guy with a a flip phone with his nose up against the fence.
Bill – We’re at the ExpoCite, the Prevost tour is tomorrow.

We use our coach a couple two three times a year where we have nothing but a place to park, requiring us to “dry camp”. We have gone 6 days at a time. Fresh/Black holding tanks get VERY close to the limit, but as others have stated, the batteries (if good) will handle basic usage with a couple generator runs through the day (useally morning and evening for an hour or so).
Outside of those couple times a year, it may be an overnight stop over in a rest area during long travel days. That’s obviously not an issue. But outside that, I wouldn’t expect to spend weeks at a time in the hot southwest summer dry camping. These things are by no means green/energy efficient. Heck, just sitting there trying to charge chassis, generator, house batteries and keeping the refer on takes up enough power to trip most standard house outlets (when batteries are charging at full charge rate).
Water usage is another consideration. The toilets use much more then your standard RV toilet per flush (you can control how much water is used in your standard RV toilet). The water pressure is run at a much higher rate, so even running the kitchen or bathroom faucets use more water per minute.

I had to pull mine out, had to pull the fridge out to get behind it to remove the screws securing it. I found a Utube video that showed how to take it apart!

Using a charter company is significantly better than taking the coach to a Volvo truck dealer that might be on Prevost’s list of service providers. However keep in mind your motor home conversion has some significant differences between the seat coaches and the motor home.
Your suspension is one area to be particularly cautious. Seated coaches do not have level low. If your issues relate to the suspension it is probable they will not be able to help beyond fixing obvious issues.
Also, unlike seated coaches which are run a lot of miles their fleet may have shifted over to all Volvo engines. While they may have the skills and parts to service Series 60 or even 8V92 engines, it might be best to verify that.
