I have the exact same setup in our coach, which is a Vantare. Have found very few places where water pressure/volume is good enough to flush correctly. I just use the water pump and no problems.

Thanks Jon , I had the city water valve in the wrong position and am thinking that had something to do with it although it was working fine before, ordered the timer and button to be safe

I have no intention on cutting back to 1 inverter, I just wondered if there was any logic in ‘rotating’ the old one into the other position. I see that it not the case. I’m going to send the old one to inverter service and see what they say.

Steve the elegant lady’s come with all the copper and brass he was just putting in a new black tank , take rubber fernco’s off and it comes out

I removed every one of these from both Prevosts I’ve owned. The valve is a rounded tip which you tighten into a
recessed curve. Great when new easy to open and close . Problem starts when water sits in this valve corroding seal and they continue to leak more and more.

A note to all……..if you do not add a title you post can end up in cyberspace and nobody can open it. If Tom or I do a little detective work we can find it and then add any title (such as the X I added) which will make the post accessible. But it is a little bit of work and if we are loaded with other admin work we may not have the time so please check your post when creating a new thread.

I use the aforementioned air doubler. It works just fine for topping off the tires and doesn’t take very long when you are only adding 5 or 10psi. The device is pneumatic – just connect your bus air to it

On the phone will Allied inquiring about bus insurance…person does have any idea what a Prevost is, they asked if it is a mobile home or an RV that you drive down the road…??? This is scary….

y’all might enjoy the Beechcraft Heritage Museum in Tullahoma. Might be a great spot for a mini-rally. Lots of other great adventures around Middle Tennessee too.

On my Libertys the check valve has been on the cold water side supplying the HW tank.
If it is the issue you can leave it off. I believe it’s purpose is to prevent hot water from backflowing into the cold side if the cold side pressure drops. On a Liberty it should have a pin hole in it so the back flow is severely restricted, but the expansion due to water heating is handled by the accumulator / expansion tank. Failure to provide that relief hole might cause the HW tank pressure / temperature relief valve to open, especially when heating the tank with engine coolant.

Peter is correct we spent around 6 weeks in alaska with our bus as part of our 14.5 month trip with our kids around the US and Canada. Alaska was without question the highlight of the trip. We would and will do it again in a heatbeat. 95% of the Alaskan highway was no problem. The 5% that was bad was pretty bad but if you take it slow 25 MPH or less you were fine….
We were told to take the Bus on the ferry out of Dawson City of over the top of the world highway thru Chicken to TOk, AK
We didn’t listen and are very glad we didn’t. We took the car and that was even touch and go.
We took the AK ferry out of Haines to Bellingham and that was amazing as well.
We had cruised alaska in the past but there is nothing like really gettting out and seeing it and in your bus is a great way to do it.

Liberty’s with more than 2 slides can’t have OTR as there is no place for the ducts. Hence roof airs and Cruise airs on some LIbertys.
