I-40 east to I-75 south, exit 72, and then take route 72 east. At route 411 turn left (north) and just north of Vonore look for the Prevost Community and East Tennessee luxury Coach signs on the left. Turn left and you are there. If you go over the bridge and cross the lake you went just past the road. Turn around at the first opportunity,

    To Bob and Buddy….

    Re; the remaning lights…

I am sorry for the delay in responding to being able to provide lights from my supply…. however, the supply has dwindled due to other requests..and I only have a few left. (8)…not enough for you to be of benefit…

Nonetheless, you can go online and find the ones I used…. the only reason I ended up with so many is that I stubbed my thumb when ordering and ended up with 12 dozen instead of 12.

There also seem to be some excellent other suggestions…

I am still having excellent success with the lights I used and am very pleased. My cost including the tech to rewire the bridles ran only about $15 per light not including the one hour it took me to remove the housings, the delivery to the tech and then the 2 1/2 hours of reinstall…

If you have any questions, call me at 713 725 9486…

I had an altimeter in a previous coach and while it was neat to know if I was climbing or descending and what my altitude was above MSL, it needed an accurate barometric pressure setting. I have to believe there are GPS units that can give that information without having to figure out the barometric pressure setting unless you like talking to FSS or getting the METARS for your nearest airport.

    Good suggestion Ken.

I carry them because if I am broke down on Friday night it will be Monday before the Detroit Diesel sensor store opens, and then with my luck they will have none in stock.

Looks like a pressure switch for fuel, maybe a low fuel pressure, or no fuel pressure light activated by that switch.

Dale, as much as you are using the coach you might want to give serious consideration to renewing hoses, brake chambers, relay valves, etc. With the cost of repairs you just encountered you would have bought at least 2/3 of your brake chambers. One more roadside repair and you will have paid enough for all the components that need to be replaced.

Unless of course you like the excitement.

Ditto with air bags, Norgren valves, shocks, maybe inverters, etc.

I had a leak just out of water pump at copper elbow leaking for coolant to go to hot water tank and heat exchanger, we replaced the copper 1/2 inch pipe with 3/4 inch pipe and put gate valve on bottom before elbow going to top side of motor and a bracket to help keep it from shaking loose, it had a ball valve on top ,I do not like those type of valves for the coolant

    Jon,

Thanks for the reply and the info. I love this site and everyone is so generous and helpful.

If we do go through with the deal, what kind of warranty should we expect or ask for as part of the deal? Would that cover any of the things we should be most concerned with?

Is there a Detroit shop near Parliment to run the codes or can Parliment do it? Can I get a print out of them to post for the members to review?

Thanks again for the reply and all you do for all the members.

And how many know those solenoids on the compressor are protection against excessive system pressures and in addition to being controls, they are a very important safety feature.

    Bill,

I will buy that and completely stop beating this dead horse if you can explain to me why the blue hoses cost half (or less) than that of the red hoses, yet the Prevost bill of materials calls for blue hoses on the hot side and red on the cold side.

If the much cheaper blue hoses are so good for the hot side would it not make sense to use them on the cold side in place of the expensive red hoses? That would save owners around $300.

At the seminar this past weekend a member that had a recent CAC replacement ended up with a failed blue hose on the hot side and had to have it replaced and he got another blue one which Prevost insisted was the correct one. If it was why did it fail so soon after the CAC replacement?
