The entire frame?
Educate me (and maybe someone else on the Forum) about POR-15. I’ve read the POR-15 application process online and it appears there is no need to go after rust with the wire wheel. Is that actually the case?

Don’t forget to check the hoses and connections on your Webasto also, especially if it uses the same cooling fluid as the engine. A hose slipped off one of my Webasto pumps yesterday dumping over 10 gallons of coolant and nearly over temping the engine. Cost me most of a travel day to find and fix it.

The old adage, you typically get what you pay for, is what the Blue Beacon experience amounts to. I use them when the bus is filthy and then spot wash and dry once back home.

We added four new Dometic Penguin II’s. The old ones were slowly failing after 21 years

Failure to adhere to the coolant change schedule is the likely biggest cause.

Today i got almost everything out except the exhaust manifolds, and the Y pipes and adapter. Going to clean, rebuild, and paint before i reinstall. The muffler was heavily rusted and not connected the the Bellows pipe. You can see the muffler flange up inside the bellows pipe.

Thanks for the input. I test drove a bunch tonight and am leading towards the 2022 Ford Expedition. Anyone here with experience with that one?

You do have to change studs.
I can tell you for certain you are going to spend a lot of time polishing wheels that you could not access unless you pull the drive wheels when they need polishing.
There is a width issue as well. I think it might be with fender clearance but can’t be sure. CRS.

You may have more than one issue. The air bleed you’re hearing with tag lift could be one (or both) of the tag lift chambers leaking. I’ve fought with both of mine trying to stop air leaking, wasn’t successful doing it on bus. Had to remove chambers to properly line up both halves with diaphragm sandwiched in between.
Those are somewhat finicky due to clamp design it seems.

Chad, don’t over think the solution. I used threaded rod, initially from the ends cut off brake chamber to prove the concept, and now stainless steel threaded rods and nuts to make loosening the belts without fighting corrosion.
I do not remember the details about an 8V92, but on the Series 60 I do need just a couple of 15/16 wrenches and in a few minutes i can loosen and remove any belt.

Put one on our bus 14k miles ago. No issues. If we ever have a problem it may give us a clue, like all the other gauges.

For many years years we showed Dogue De Bordeaux’s or trained them in protection sports. Like clock work we have learn they have a life span of 8 to 10 years. We had over 8 Dogues over the years. Our oldest now is 9.5 years. They are always different personalities and bring much joy. All of these Dogues will join us after life ends on this earth. Sorry for your loss.

Yeah thanks John, it’s pretty tight back there. You need to be kinda small to fit, I’ll have to figure something out for sure.
