Jon and I have been doing our best to make the Oysterfest happen, but in these crazy times it’s almost impossible to plan and make all the parts fall into place.

So, we have decided to move forward with the Rally, even though it won’t resemble anything previously. We hope you make plans to attend, all you have to do is make a reservation for your site with Pandion Ridge.

I don’t know the brand name, but a flooring store is going to have plenty of options. I really like what Bernie suggested.

    Hi Jon,

is there a particular name/title and phone number at Prevost Nashville to contact regarding conducting a full delamination check; and, their non-riveted repair procedure? Sorry, new to all this…if it is already available elsewhere.

    Thank you,

Thinner air definitely has an impact on cooling. But it should only be viewed as a small contributing factor.

I’m not sure how it would explain shut down due to motor temps. Vantare has never had any posts or threads about the problem you are having so something is going on. I am sure a lot of coaches have been operated at higher elevations.

I purchased my 06 XL2 from Marathon and received a 6 month CPO warranty. I had Gil go through the coach a second time prior to warranty expiration. He picked up a couple items that weren’t causing any obvious issues that I was aware of, saving me a few thousand $’s. Marathon was great during the CPO period, taking care of the issues I discovered during the numerous trips I took.

Our bus has a PowerTech 17.5kw generator w/Kubota engine. Water temperature runs at 165*f winter or summer. It has 13,300 hrs on it.

    OK. Here we go

remove generator blower fan cover box and inner access panel on genset side to expose both sides of radiator

sprayed both sides of radiator with A/C condenser cleaner then rinsed

reassembled, let it dry then started it up. 25 minutes later the new motor stops again but not at 104 F in the blower box but at 120 degrees

so, took off blower box access panel, experimentally fashion a four inch piece ductwork, thru temporary access panel cover to electric blower motor air intake. System ran for almost two hours with no shutdown BUT, coolant temps rose from the before 25 minute run before shutdown at 180F to 205F ea time with 4 rooftop a/c units blasting. Blower box temp 122F with ambient 80 F outside fed to motor air intake

turned two A/C off and fan box temp lowered to 116. Coolant to 190-195

Shy pulling radiator, rodding it, and repositioning it by laying facedown with blower fan mounted on top blowing thru radiator and having bay doors loovered, we are at a loss.

Jon: shouldn’t we be testing out coolant once in a while?
