Whisper mat from AAP
Anyone used this product. There are several post on soundown for generator bay.
This product is just up the road from me so no freight just a road trip.
Thoses that used the soundown what thickness did you use?
They make 1 inch, 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch soundown.

I recently redid just the ceiling of gen bay (Marathon did a nice job on the sides but used the grey foam egg crate stuff on ceiling) and used 1″ soundown. It was easily avail on Amazon in a size that worked.

Amazon has 1″ Soundown in 54″x96″ sheets. Will two sheets be enough do my generator and generator fan bays?

How big are the areas needing insulation and are you willing to tolerate seams or must each plane (surface) be a solid piece?

I am going to redo the entire inside of the generator and gen fan bays. Seams are OK with me unless someone says it is a bad idea.
I could figure out the square footage with some getting dirty and measuring, but I was hoping to reserve that for the actual job. Was hoping someone who did the job recalled the amount of material needed.

Are you referring to wispermat or soundown? What thickness did you use?
