Disabled until my GPS wouldn’t find itself and kept thinking it needed to direct me to where I wanted to go with a starting point in Mexico. It’s on now, but there was a 5000 mile gap where it was defeated by removing the cell communications device.
Why the question because other than tracking my every move, speed, etc. it doesn’t do any thing to assist driving?
BTW, I see On-Star as a threat. I was in heavy traffic once and a voice is in my ear telling me my driving record was available for review. I almost jumped out of my skin because it was unexpected. The second time it happened another voice said my maintenance history was available. The car didn’t have 1000 miles on it at the time.
GM packages our destination history and bundles it with data from other cars and sells that information. The On-Star driving data is available to police, lawyers, insurance companies and the car dealer to determine if your driving habits void the warranty.

Thanks for the reply Jon. I am familiar with the fuel shutoff solenoid and their tendencies toward laziness! I did not use it to shut down the gen but I did check it for free movement to both positions while trying to get it started .
It is interesting at times that the gen will start immediately when actuating the switch above the driver’s seat and other times even though the blue light illuminates, it can take up to 5 min. Same with shutdown; it sometimes will shutoff immediately, other times like last night it ran more than 10 min after the switch was shutoff which can be a nuisance when your neighbors are close and asleep! Also, the generator master switch in the 2nd bay has no effect on the operation as far as I can tell as I have run through these scenarios with it on and off. So should I run that switch on or off?
Thanks for everyone’s help and patience as we get to know our quirky new to us coach!

We have also stayed at the Grizzly RV Park outside Yellowstone, it is perfect place for staying in the area.
They allowed us to keep the coach there when we decided to extend our stay so that we could tour Jackson Hole which is 80 miles south. Grizzly RV Park is a really busy resort but they managed to find a spot for us to park the coach. I didn’t mind moving as our previous spot had been reserved.
We stayed in a hotel in Jackson Hole right on the square, neat city and good restaurants. The coach was safe at the Grizzly RV Park!
Safe travels,

I contacted Hector and he’s been through some pretty serious medical issues, but he’s going to see if he can resurrect the video. He said it died with the server it was on and maybe he can recover his file.
I’ll follow up…

The last coach I purchased had a pdi performed by the dealer from whom I purchased it. Upon pick-up the road air was inop and within 90 days I had spent almost $15,000 on necessary repairs.
They took care of the repairs since I had a short warranty and, oddly enough, my experiences with them since have been excellent but….
