I liked the covers and gave up after they came out with newer models that didn’t have a dome stop switch. It was nice to be able to leave the vent open and the rain sensor still worked.

Tried posting to old post using Chrome, Firefox and Safari…none would allow me to reply to old post, soooo.

Just got back from Alaska cruise and reading old posts. Liked the original post from Tom on this gauge and decided to buy one. Did a little searching and found I could order one from Advance Auto. Than did a little more searching and found a coupon for $50 off with free shipping. I did have to pay tax but got the new unit for $116. Anyone interested may want to try this and save a few $.

I know about rings and sparking. I also “Zip Tie” ea cluster of wires coming off their respective terminals then make a map on paper what terminal had what wires by using colored plastic tape on the zipped wires and the corresponding battery terminal with same color. I place the old batteries on the ground next to bus with corresponding colored tape on the terminals and take photos too. Other than a one time spark arch, followed incredulouness since I knew I touch nothing a second spark realized arched from wrench/ring Bay compartment in our H3-45

I think I figured it out. It’s the radio shack video amplifier. For some reason, the “input” is not working, but the outputs are working so I changed my tech-link cable to one of the outputs and it worked, but again only on my dash and not TV.

I believe I can get one of these generic video amplifiers through Amazon.

One more question Boys,

My back-up camera takes a while to warm up and yesterday while traveling, I noticed that once in a while the video feed “scrolls” up. I see that tech link controls the back-up camera, but not sure if this could be a separate electronic module that I may need to replace. However, it may also be the video amplifier that’s bad and is not sending a strong signal to the back-up camera.

Any other thoughts?

I had a similar problem when I was looking. A lot of “motorhome” conversions are really only for two people. No way in heck were both of my kids & the dog going to share a fold out couch. Entertainer coaches usually have 6-12 bunks and most no shower or rear bedroom. Try to narrow your search to “Star Coach” They usually have all the usual “motorhome” stuff (rear bedroom & shower) with 2-4 bunks as well. Just a few minor invonvieneces such as my dump valves are on the curb side like most entertainers where all motorhomes dump on the driver side. They are a bit more “industrial” but very functional. The long wheelbase makes them ride awesome but you can’t carry as much weight up front. It took me 5 years of “looking” to figure all this out…….

The analog gauge and digital message center information should track one another because I believe they are both generated by DDEC.

To verify if the fan clutch is the issue because I would choose to not ignore the 215 degree reading I would suggest you engage the fan clutch electrically and see if the temps change. If the engine does not rise to the 215 degree level it is likely the fan clutch or its relays may be the issue.

This thread may help you understand the process. You can verify the relay numbers by checking the diagram for your rear electric box

As I mentioned previously I have to grow my own food and he is building a new house. What is going on here. This sounds more and more like voodoo economics and nothing is trickling down to me.
