    O K

At present, the dates of May 17 th through the 21 st seem to work well for the R V park. At this time, we can reserve the 20 back in river sites …which are excellent…. The park is not crowded as of today but will probably begin to fill in as the year progresses.

This past year’s weather ranged in the 54 to 80 degree pattern for each day of this date range…

Apparrently, the crush begins on the Memorial Day week-end and endures for the summer…

How does this date range sound for starters?

If it sounds ok, I will reserve the dates as best I can…

    Please advise your considered thoughts

Is it a Prevost issue or a Liberty issue? Have you talked to Troy or Bill at Liberty about it?

If its a Prevost issue, you’ve had it at Prevost a number of times to fix while under warranty, it still isn’t fixed … it will be interesting to see if Prevost continues to deal with it as a warranty issue.

I wonder if other owners of new Liberty’s have the same problem.

I would also verify that the chassis battery charger stays on in this position….

I agree on the California Air Compressors. They are priced right and fairly quiet. The best part over a JunAire is it is oiless. No SJ27 oil to eat every rubber part in the system if it gets past the drier.

So, based on your math it runs about a half hour a day. 3000 hour life…. That is about 6000 days… Better start saving for its replacement. LOL

    Jon,

You forgot the washer/dryer. Mine draw around 16 amps, split between my two inverters.

I drive all over the USA and Canada and it is hard to get a parking space in a spot by 7 at night the trucks are parked where they can to get some rest because of the rules by the DOT , it bullshit are drivers are in the same boat , the trucks are not at fault , it’s the people that don’t drive for a living , or the trucks that can not get a place to rest because of the rules of hours of driving , I have not stopped by 7 or so at night and had to drive more hours to find a place to rest because of no parking , If you hit a truck on the shoulder or off ramp you may need some sleep also , but guess what no parking it’s all full!!!!!!!!

I we all made decisions based on what makes sense none of us would have a Prevost.

I agree a trip from Oregon for service seems silly.Who wants to drive thousands of miles just for an expensive oil change, even if Jeff does look at your underside at the same time.

But depending on your schedule, your desire to drive a bus that was meant to be driven, and your desire to learn your own coach and get to develop a better understanding the entire trip can be multi purpose. You get a see the country, You get great service, you get to leanr, and when you drive away you will have a much better idea of the coach condition and what it doesn’t need and what it does need

But if you insist on looking solely at numbers, compared to your depreciation per month the cost of doing that is chump change.

Two years ago while at Glacier in the Jeep we saw a fiberglass motorhome about half way up pulled to the side with police and that cop was not happy, had traffic all screwed up. Don’t know how he managed to get there, but he did.

I heard back from my Distributor and here’s his comments regarding the temps:

    Tom,

The Pulse will display in increments of temperature. This is not because of the display, but the capabilities of the sensors themselves. Sensor technology just doesn’t allow them to be accurate to every degree and maintain a size/cost that is attractive, so there has to be some compromise. The sensors send a “packet” of data every 7 seconds which includes pressure, temperature and diagnostic information and that information packet has to be be within limits of radio signal capability from a sensor that is small enough to go on a valve stem. There are some other non-USA made systems that will claim to read every degree, but they don’t actually, they are using temp/pressure laws to extrapolate the temperature so the difference is that PressurePro presents the information as accurately as technology allows where other companies use extrapolated data to “fudge” the readings to make them appear more accurate than they really are. Same results in the end basically, it’s just how you look at the presentation of data.

Our sensors are sending temperature in increments of 40 degrees which is pretty standard. As mentioned, any system showing every degree is extrapolating that data from pressure anyway, not true temperature. The breakdown is as follows:

    70 degrees – 70 – 109

    110 degrees – 110-149

    150 degrees – 150 – 189

There is a high temperature alarm at 194 degrees which will alert to high temperature.

My understanding is that at some point, the electronics will allow the temperatures to report in 20 degree increments.

In the meantime, we have thousands of tractor/trailers, heavy equipment and RVS on the road now with the Pulse and everyone is extremely happy with the capabilities.

I wanted to add that one of the features of the Pulse is the cross axle differential alerts which would be important also. That information will tell you when there is a differential in pressure/temperature across an axle. If one tire is different in pressure/temperature readings from the other three on a dual tire axle or if the two tires on a regular axle see differences, you will be alerted. This should help in the case of the tag brake problem as you will be alerted if there is a difference between pressure/temperature cross the axle. The alert % difference can be set by the user.

I just had the fan om my generator stop working and after a little troubleshooting determined that it was the starting capacitor for the fan motor. Access to the J-Box where it is mounted was not good, so I created an access panel in the airboxwall. All is good once again and if it needs changing again it won’t be such a bad job. The coach is a 1999 XL Country Coach conversion.

You’re doing it right. Be sure to run your ground wire to the metal Wiremold box, as well. There will be a tapped 10-32 hole in the baseplate for a grounding screw. Without doing so, a fault could cause the box to become energized, leading to a shock hazard. I’ve seen it happen.

A guy replaced a 3-way switch on a 277volt lighting circuit (not on a bus) with a single-pole switch. Didn’t know what do do with the extra wire so he hooked it to the green screw on the switch, made the surface-mounted box and conduit hot! Conduit was pulled apart under the floor so it wasn’t grounded. If someone had touched the box and anything grounded nearby, could have been a fatality.

FWIW, I’m using stranded type MC (metal clad) cable in my current (no pun) home build.

    Regards,

    Ted.

Mark: This is what I’m going to order.

Looks like Romex in the picture and looks like Romex in the wiring/plumbing chases. But is stranded, tinned, copper marine grade. The ground (green) is also insulated. Reading reviews of the product on-line it sounds like this is used for both AC and DC applications. Maybe the boat guys will check in on this.

I was able to buy stranded copper at Home Depot and flexible PVC conduit to run it on, but it isn’t tinned and not marine grade. So that goes into inventory for a future non-coach related project.

I found the ANCOR wire at West Marine.

This is the surface mount outlet I’m putting in the closet. Metal case and base with plastic face plate. Made to be used with a surface mount conduit molding system, but I’m putting it on an existing piece of plywood above a wiring/plumbing chase and the wire will go through a knobout in the back. I wasn’t looking forward to cutting a hole in the plywood, I’m neither a carpenter or a cabinet maker. The white color matches the inside of the closet.
