Fred, since it is obvious you are going to get there early and have your coach all shined up by the time we arrive with hundreds of miles of dust and dirt on our coaches, we think you should help us get our coaches looking pretty.

Jim, if you have the unaltered Prevost level low system which your description seems to suggest, as Joel says you can select any position, LH, RH, and front and selectively raise or lower that position. Until you press the up/down switch again, or until you return to the driving or road position the coach should remain at the height you set it at.

Before you take on the challenge of nasty driveways however go to a flat spot and work the system to verify it functions as we describe, and that it remains in the selected position until you go to the road position with the four way rotary switch or press the up/down button.

Navigating my driveway takes longer to describe than it takes to actually negotiate it.

    Dan,

Where did you find a place to stay in Alexandria? I didn’t realize they had a CG.

You may want to check the electric air pressure switches. A friend’s coach had one leaking. If so, you can feel the leak through the vent hole.

The first step is to shut off engine coolant lines to and from the Aquahot. I say that as someone that is clueless on the Aquahot, but presumes there is an engine coolant heat exhanger in the Aquahot that can be the problem. The shut off valves may be at the Aquahot or back by the engine.

I don’t think burping is as big an issue as it might seem. With the Aquahot you don’t have engine coolant heat exhangers through the coach so I suspect filling the header tank with a 50/50 mix is pretty much all you need to do. It might need some topping off after the engine warms enough to open the thermostat, but that might be all you need to do.

    That’s how I feel too Jon…….

    Tires $10K

    Batteries $4K

    Bags and norgren valves $4,800

New belts and hoses all around $ $1,400

    Headlight Package $3,500

Diesel service, aqua hot service, genny service, trans service, $2,200

Labor is included in those numbers….

So, all in all I was expecting to spend $25K ++ for added maintenance items…compared to the cost of the coach and the peace of mind I will have it is a small price to pay to zero out the coach. At this point, I will take it in once per year for the annual maintenance schedule. I learned long ago that when you roll a house down the road things are going to happen. I just want to take the extra precautions so I can still “drive” it in for repairs when they need to be done. After you own 6 diesel coaches (fiberglass) that is a lesson I’ve learned. Over the years, I’ve only had two incidents that stopped me from driving…a slide failure in my Vectra (which I bought new and happened in year 2) and an electrical problem that forced the coach to be towed. That was my Journey, and it was 8 days old when that occured in Myrtle Beach, again a new coach. Towed to the Gaffney facility, one day later on the road again.

    Jerry,

If I had to replace a wheel on the drive axle I would be looking at super singles.

    Fred,

I’ll try a mirror and perhaps I can make out the little beast and grab his neck for a bit of testing. Thanks so much for the additional info!

    Bernie,

Click on the blue fuel discount program box and enter the information asked regarding your VIN. When you submit that form the next page provides some additional information and you can proceed from there.

Easy to follow. Print them out if you want. The last four digits of your VIN are part of your security. The VIN is required to limit who has access to the program and it is not shared or available to anyone.

For anyone not familiar, during the early to mid 2000’s, Prevost XL2 shells had manual awning-style windows, but most converters took the handles off and concealed an electric window motor add-on kit in the window column to make the windows “power-operated”. I didn’t realize Country Coach had added a remote control setup on some of their coaches, so you are definitely looking for a Country Coach setup, nothing to do with Prevost or the chassis electrical system.

The other suggestions people gave here are all good starts and possible problems sources. First thing is finding the receiver/control boards. If they utilized someone like Somfy (like many did to control the motorized window shades in the 2000’s), they there is an individual glass fuse on each 5 or 10-channel control board.

Here is the link to the Pronto Owners Manual for the remote, but it will have no information on the specific setup program CC downloaded into it, however, that file is extractable “from” the remote if you have the specific Pronto NG programming software, obtainable from remotecentral.com

I think is was 2005 year shells, Prevost changed vendor and design of awning window with the motor and mechanism in the window, power in and out, relieving the burdon of motorizing the windows from the converters.

John, obtain three sections of suitable plastic pipe/conduit that will store in a bay or toad.

Mark them off so that when clamped or taped together you can pole the questionable underpass.

    Be creative and be safe.

    Ben,

Here’s what I am talking about. The object is to extend the handle filling it with water or air, then seal it into the hole in the bottom of the toilet and push as hard and fast as possible.

To add to Jim’s excelent post above, those shown are the valves we refer to as 5 port Norgren valves and those specifically are on the bulkhead forward of the drive axle and control the left and right rear.

I had a 2001 Marathon XLII and I think that you should be able to run all 4 from the generator and not through the inverters,I think that you should cycle the generator off then on and see if the results change.I think that the contactor for the generator is not pulling in.

I installed the seal today which has the vitton O ring it took about 45 minutes, the alternator does not have to be removed and this is an easy job.The only glitch was I could not find my inch pound torque wrench that I had as a kid for go cart clutches so I had to purchase one,the 6 bolts torque to 55-70 inch pounds.
