IBP has some. International Bus Parts

For checking voltages the inverter bar graphs are adequate. You will get to learn how many lights will be lit when on bulk charge, float or not connected to a power source.
Adding a guage such as the one shown just makes the information more precise, and that is good unless you tend to fret over a 1/10 of a volt and then you just drive yourself nuts.

HJ,

Gary,
I totally agree with Bernie. I have used Taylor Tours and have great luck with them. Their Head service guy Chris used to work for Marathon. He knows them well!
Good Luck..

Gary,
Your about to make two mistakes in two days. I wouldn’t let anyone pull my plumbing bay apart unless they had bus experience. When you get the flaps for the bay open it is tight quarters and contacts and relays that power your sewer house, door flap, light’s, auto fill, auto dump and much more. These are fused off the water makeup bay. If a mechanic touches were he doesn’t belong he will blow something and then good luck.
Tucson for being a resort destination is probably one of the worst areas to get something done and if you can get in it’s 2 weeks.
Mike is more inclined to do this himself because he understands the system.
Taylor Tours in Anthem, AZ is a couple hours from you and they understand. If you don’t know how to get your flaps open and get in there for a possible look for a quick fix go to Taylor.

Is the fan for the coach OTR on high? medium? or low? Maybe there is a wire loose somewhere. Could be as simple as the ground or hot wire at the rheostat.

Mark,
My Marathon H has a hose hookup from the factory in the curb side plumbing bay for the purpose of attaching a hose for washing, etc. It’s controlled by the yellow ball valve and maybe your previous owner tied into that line.

on a side note,
how nice it is to have a commercial bus chassis.
Just today I found out one of my customers runs a over the road truck shop specializing in refrigeration systems. They also maintain several fleets of seated coaches, and provide primarily AC service for those buses. When I spoke to him and mention what system I have on my bus he immediately said to just bring it over and eat throw the gauges on it and do a double check to make sure everything was in spec no big deal.
such a difference from a traditional class a scenario where there are few people that know how to work on things, and they typically are too busy to be able to get to it… When they want to get to ithappy travels

Bring your own ladder Patrick. I’ll gladly supply the water and wax.

It seems the issue in this discussion is whether or not idling hurts the engine or any other parts of the drive train?
If I am not mis-taken, Detroit Diesel put out a bulletin some time ago discussing the fact that diesel engines at idle can be very ineffcient……..the result being that the unburned fuel that is not exhausted can experience a form of “blow by” and be injested into the oil supply of the engine. If, thereafter, the engine sits for any prolonged period of time, a form of acid is developed that attacks the main bearings.
This may be a wise tale but I believe there is evidence to this effect…. what does the group think?
I cut my engine off if possible after five minutes… that is because I am paranoid.
As usual, I understand the question… I am not certain that I have the answer.

Dick,
I’m usually showing about 170 when I start to move the coach. If below 45 degrees at night, I’ll turn on the block heater to exercise it.
