Honestly I have never had an issue. You need to have a passport as a minimum. I have a NEXUS pass which is essentially a security approved pass and as a result your essentially good to go. Sorry Tom and Jon that you both had a bad experience but I have not.

I regularly go to the States and your border guards have been good and the reverse is same for the Canadian side. I guess it just depends on the agent you get…..there are dick heads out there.

I wasn’t talking about manufacturers, I was talking about you.

I know I’ve only be testing and evaluating consumer technology products for 30+ years…what would I know. I guess it’s okay to shoot the messenger.

Les, I already cannot see out of the windshield. With two dash cams, a pressure pro, and a GPS all hogging windshield real estate I need a bus with lane assist, automatic braking and a self parking feature to get me backed in at a truck stop. What I need is a Pressure Pro display with much bigger numbers and brighter numbers so I don’t have to get my bi-focals 3″ from the display to read it.

All kidding aside, one of my dash cams has lane departure warnings. Only problem is seams in the highway but not between lanes, black skid marks on lanes with poor painted lines, gouges in the road, etc. are all viewed as lane markings and it give me so many false alerts my mind now tunes it out. It also has a warning when it sees less space between me and the vehicle ahead, but almost 100% of the time it is a passing vehicle pulling in too close.

You just have to be sure you don’t exceed 12 amps (80% of 15 amps) on each leg. Many inverters allow for a change in shore cord size from 50 to 30. You won’t be able to run much of anything if your chargers are on, you’ll have to wait for float.

Dan, we plan on being at Osterfest in April. Why don’t you and the Redhead come on down, we can use some of your dues refund for a good seafood dinner.

According to Davy’s serial number, that rag was left in there on purpose as a test for future reference, such as updates to the Detroit maintenance manual. And it’s durability would have been assessed at the 60,000 mile tune up. Right?

Thanks guys. I do have the documentation and now it’s time to start probing with a test light and volt meter. I’m going to get into that ASAP.

Between all if us we’re going to sort this little issue out.

    ”Failure is not an option.”

    More to come.

    Thanks again.

Mikee … makes a good point.

Obtain the oil capacity of your engine from information provided with your bus. Not all S-60 are the same. This depends on oil pan installed from Detroit and dip stick installed or changed during its life time.

10 gallons should be the correct amount with filters.

If it calls for 10 gallons including filters then refill with that amount.

After start up and shut down check the level on your dipstick.

If you find full at different level on your dipstick….this shall be your new correct level. Use a small file to cut a line across dipstick so you can refer to full level.

Just one question…What color is the oil, when you find engine over full.

    Art,

We have the DBW 2010 and it keeps the coach toasty down to single digits. Are all their heat exchangers/blowers functioning?

Tim, I have only done it once on my 2007 Marathon. I would not consider doing it until you called and spoke with someone at marathon.

Did the resistor burn out and open the circuit? I’d measure the resistance across it with a DVOM.

When I first started looking for a Prevost, I flew down to Tampa in 2008 I believe. I went to all the Prevost dealers and converters in the area. My first stop was at Parliament where Mark Cascio introduced me to Prevost. He showed me all the pluses and minuses of each coach. Mark is a straight shooter and a good guy. If you’re looking for a Prevost, Mark Cascio is your man at Marathon San Antonio, FL. If you’re a newbie like I was (and still am), you’ll get quite an education.
