Posted by Tim on December 19, 2018 at 9:58 am

Looking for the steps to do a house electrical shut down a 2001 Marathon #0670 all the way to battery shut off and the steps to restart the house electrical system. Our coach does not have Crestron.

Tim, I have only done it once on my 2007 Marathon. I would not consider doing it until you called and spoke with someone at marathon.

    Tim,

These are the steps I got from Leon at Marathon:

    1. Shut off shore power

    2. Shut off inverters at cut-off switch

    3. Shut off house (12-volt) and chassis power (24-volt)

    4. Wait about a minute, then restore power in reverse order.

    Tim,

There’s no secret to shutting it down.

Make sure no shore power going in and generator is off and breaker in bay is off.

Make sure no loads are drawing power in the coach.

Your 2 red switches on the curbside engine bay are marked 12v and 24v, turn them off. that shuts off battery power.

You should also have 2 red switches on the driverside in the inverter bay that allows you to bypass the inverters and it has an off position.

In your Marathon manual you can see a picture of the 2 red switches in the bay.

To power back up have no loads and turn both red switches on.
