I used Equal for ten years and only had air leak problems before I switched to the Schrader valves with the filter plus the fill through cap valve stem caps.

After the switch to the Schrader valves with the filter plus the fill through cap valve stem caps, no problems.

Gary, you do not say where your are from or who did the previous replacement, but the first call is to the shop that replaced it and get on the schedule for a free replacement.

If you do not get satisfaction go to the Prevost Car web site and see if you can get the regional service manager to help. If not him, move up the chain and get Kevin Laughlin who has overall responsibility to get involved.

Something is wrong and if you don’t hold their feet to the fire you end up paying serious money, and they are unaware of a problem that they may have to resolve.

The life span of these clutches sucks, but 5 months is ridiculous.

    Hey Guys,

I’ve done searches for Chrome Man and Chrome Depot and can’t find anything in Georgia… Do you have a web site and/or phone number?

OOPS, just saw the post about Chrome Depot being an advertiser, thanks!

La Hacienda is larger… the problem is truly not being in a pull through that is not level ….and there are many of them Some of tem will scrape the bottom as you enter. When you get there, have the caveat that it has to be useable …. We have moved from one slot top another …

Good location … for West side of Town

Yep, I have a 51 Chevy PU. I bought a Gen4 system for it. Just need to make the time to install it.

And they are within driving distance for you.

I don’t have a check valve there…..I looked everywhere…and there is no check valve on the compressor output line in the generator compartment. Somebody modified the system it seems…..

I have to chase some leaks. The Aux compressor starts every 30 min and runs about a minute.

Anybody can tell me what is part of the Aux system on a Vantare ? I know about the pocket doors, generator airbags, engine tensioner bags it seems, stairwell cover, what else ? I have electric dump valves and Headhunter toilet that does not seem to need air.

I took off the 1/4″ line with needle bleed valve from the pressure switch so that the tab does not push the needle anymore and so far, the compressor starts and re-starts fine without problem.

Took off the line off the compressor head to see if I have any air bleed back and I don’t…so there is a check valve somewhere in-line but I just can’t find it.

The needle valve does not leak when in closed position but will bleed the air out of the system 4-5 times out of 10 if I let it connected to the pressure switch….sometimes it bleeds the line as it should, sometimes it keeps bleeding air, pressure drops under 75 psi and the compressor restarts….weird…

Al, we recently had a PC member pass unexpectedly, we’re helping his widow sell their coach. Might be something you’re looking for, it’s a 95 Vogue and has bunks installed. If you’re interested email me at dansyl159@gmail.com

We have the records of all the maintenance and pics that we can email to you.

I had some problems with the Auto Awn on my 99 CC for a period of time till I learned how to take care of it.

It does not work well with any moisture in the air system so I installed a water separator on the main aux air tank under the front bumper then put a better one on the air manifold at the control box.

Whenever it rains and the coach is out in the open I learned to lower the awning with the button in the control box (not the remote) and loosen the black caps on the end of the arms and drain the water out. They will fill up while out in the open then oil the arms.

Jimmy at Zip Dee told me to use something like 3 In One oil, small red and white plastic bottle.

The worst issue which you can not do anything about is the wire harness going up the inside of the front arm to the motor. The next to the last one replaced was due to a supplier issue Zip Dee used to assemble the wire harnesses.

It worked fine for about two years then I sold the coach.

I checked with every weather strip supplier that I can think of. No luck finding anything close enough to work.

I’m changing my search direction for the weather strip from finding surplus to maybe having some custom made if it’s not cost prohibitive. Problem is, most places want an actual sample to use for the engineering dimensions and material.

Is there anyplace where I could get a length of the awning window weather strip from a junked or surplus 2001-2006 XL2? There’s got to be some out there, I just don’t know where to look yet.

I will have to have a security service guard my tires however.
