Tim & Cindy, The original R-Vac units can be rebuilt by a competent AC guy that is willing to do it. Most unfortunately have become simply r&r guys. The alternative is the Coleman-Mach retro-fit about 6K

I did check the breakers, looked fine, I pushed and wiggled them just to make sure.

Jon, you are correct. When i was traveling in the mountains and passed a road sign stating the alitude I would have to calibrate the gauge by simply twisting the knob. But it was usally within about 30 ft or so. Its just something I enjoyed and would like it again.

The information of 25 amps per leg came from the campground guy because that is probably the way they have it wired. It is wrong but a lot of places put in a 50 amp plug and advertise 50 amp sites but do not provide 50 amps per leg but 40 or 50 amps total. I have seen campground poles with an old 30 amp plugs and an old 20 amp plug but a brand new 50 amp box beneath it. The new 50 amp box is being fed from the 30 amp plug on one side and the 20 amp plug on the other. Then to top it off the guy is the spot next to you is supposed to plug into the 30 amp which effectively taking you down to 20.

about drinking tap water!
I have been drinking unfiltered tap water from a well for close to 20 years and single filter fridge water for about as long.
Do I look like it has done any harm to me in any ways?

Cheers,
Ronald

Thanks for the moral support. I am going to see if the dealer will take an IOU for the 6 months of dues you are so generously donating…..oh wait that’s POG thing. It’s only money and it gives me a year’s warranty on the parts. Told the kids after this bill I think community college may be the way to go now (just kidding). I do look forward to some great trips ahead.
As as far as cause, I spent some time with the foreman who also said the engines tend to be “bullet proof.” Guess the body armor was defective on mine.
the issue appears to have started with a crack in the head gasket. Might have been a bad casting on the head. I wonder if being #6 something got dumped in to the cylinder from the EGR. Another possibility is the previous owner had overheated badly before and didn’t disclose. I’ll ask them again what they think. The foreman seemed as baffled as Jeff and I. At least I got to it before the oil etc had become contaminated with coolant.
As as an aside, once we got passed the BS front desk at Freightliner they have been responsive and helpful. The work (to my untrained eyes) seems very professional and well done. Their basic customer service manager however needs to come to one of the seminars to learn how to take care of customers from Jeff. The proof will be in how well the coach runs and if I have any further problems. I did ask them about DD picking up part of the cost. The DD response was too far out of warranty.
I’m still trying to get my pictures uploaded. So far all I have done is get some random coach picture (not of my coach) loaded onto my signature. I’ll try again tonight

Melissa, I was wondering when Colt was going to be hearing from you. It seems he did not learn from his last error in judgement prior to the Foley rally, and here he is doing it again.

Melissa is going to be mad at all of you.

What Liberty didn’t do was plumb the fan intake/exhaust via tubes for outside air. Liberty circulates bay air using those 24/7 fans hard wired to the inverters and bay air temps can be hotter than outside air in the summer. Marathon did a better job by using duct work and fans working in tandem, one pushing and the other pulling ambient air only when the temps require cooling via the thermostat.

We were gonna try that. Don’t have any way to get under it. We were gonna try to do that and then squeeze off the line with a vise grip. No go…
On my drum brakes, is the emergency brake separate from the road brake or the same unit?

DKO,
Just for keeping the records and being easy to manage daily. I did start out using the lap top for a log. It’s just way to complicated as you have to bring everything together every time you log something in. For some owners this may be a more comfortable way.
On my log the lap top was not my style… but that’s me.
That 3 ring notebook is no fancy kept record and it’s easy to maintain. That is the part I like.
For work orders I now just reference…….7-23-15 Prevost Ft Worth workorder : window, trans seal, Norgren valve
