Did you say the OTR clutch caused the fire? What is the leading cause of Prevost fires?

South Dakota has a deal where you spend one night in SD and you can get a permanent address, drivers license, vehicle registration, license plates, the works. You can contact Dakota Post and they can walk you through it as well as forward your mail if you wish.

You DO HAVE SLACK ADJUSTERS on Meritor brakes which I think you have Andy. If you have Knorr-Bremse you have adjusters for the calipers built into the caliper.

If you have Meritor brakes it is probably the slack adjusters are automatic and they can fail, but the easiest way to verify everything is OK is to visually note the travel on the brake chamber rod pushing on the slack adjuster arm. Each axle has a specified acceptable range based on the brake chamber size, but with at least 90 PSI brake system pressure the travel should be around 1″ (not less) to 2″ (not more).

If the brake chamber pushrod shows a red ring where it comes out of the chamber the travel distance is unacceptable and the slack adjuster needs to be adjusted.

T-Mobile has asked me if any of the people that we deal with would be interested

in unlimited Internet and unlimited streaming with no throttle down at a great price. So I did the research and so far every program has to be tied to a phone account with multiple phones.

So I asking the question if anyone would be interest in the Internet streaming program at a price of $89.95 per month with no phone program tied to it. If so please let me know so I will either

pursue the program for all you good people in the community or not. Thanks for your help on this program.

Excellent post Bill, shows the utility of a Prevost Motorhome in extreme temps both cold and hot. You have used your bus as it was designed and I admire your adventures.

I have checked both of the fuses. From what Jeff @ Power Tech and my electrician have determined, something in the power head is bad. This means removing the generator from the coach and replacing a bunch of stuff. The real problem is finding a reputable company that can handle the job close to Arkansas.

Found a gasket kit thanks to Buddy, naturally he had one in stock, so ordered one to replace his. Here’s the downside, 4 weeks to get the kit! It’s a handful of gaskets, sheesh. The lady says it’s special order…

The part number is C85485-P and the cost is 390. Ordered at http://cfpco.com/.

    Thanks for your input Ron.

I was looking at the Inergy system from convenience / plug and play stand point with minimal work on the coach and possibility of using the solar gen on other applications if / when needed.

Not really concerned about chassis batteries, they hold OK for a while(between our summer trips when they get fully charged while plugged in) but the charger idea is good.

Permanent solar panels and chargers install would be ideal, (looking into it with couple RV solar specialists) if it all works out without inducing more issues to the coach. Although expensive, this Inergy solar gen could be used just as plug in at the campground. Sunlight should not be a concern during summer months and if an issue there is also the Autogen…

    The search continues…

One this voltage regulator topic, we have previously replaced one on our former Marathon H. Too much time has passed tho to recollect procedure. Both Chris and I remember there is one wire that is the first to come off and last to be reconnected. Anyone refresh our knowledge or was this just a dream. We came home from Indio last weekend for summer and our 270 amp idiot was on when bus motor ran. Light goes out if you start gender. Tech Link screen show house charge drops while driving. Leon suggest relay behind dash panel or regulator since dash gauge reads good charge.
