Bill, there should be numerous tour bus rental companies in the Houston area. You might check with them and ask who they would recommend.

Jerry,
Whatever you do try to not rely on a belt for a limiting device.
With all belts removed you should be able to move the entire assembly through its full range of motion and never have any physical contact with anything. If something does make contact the assembly needs to have its travel limited or the fan/clutch needs to be adjusted so you do not get contact.
Early 8V92 equipped coaches did not have a limiting device and belt failures resulted in the heavy steel fan blades used at the time to chew through the radiator core. Since then I believe all coaches have a means of limiting travel to prevent similar issues.

Just for everyones information…Someone who will remain anonymus (Tom) went to dump before leaving and next thing I know my parking lot is getting flooded with rather unpleasant smelling fluids…..Photos are available for verification if needed…..
Then when the ED gave him a invoice (video taped) for enviromental hazards he was less than kind…

Tom,
I called PASS last year in Albuquerque when I had a wheel seal problem. They sent me to the local Volvo dealer. I had a horrible experience there and will never go back.

MemberJanuary 10, 2016 at 8:53 am in reply to: Advice on replacing valve stems – (Alcoa wheels)My last go around with leaking valve cores, I had all tires unmounted, vacuumed out and all new valve stems/cores installed. For the inside drive tire we discussed extensions. Both myself and the tire store were in agreement not to use them, so the discussion was very short. They installed longer stems that put them just inside the outside rim.
This is fine as I have TPMS valve caps. My valve caps are actually hexagon shaped so I use a socket on an extension to remove/install the caps when needed. The outside valve stems I had installed pointing at a 90 degree angle to the face of the rim allowing easy access to the valve cap/TPMS sensor (i had them pointing inward, making it a little hard due to space to get to the valve caps/TMPS Sensors.
Even with all brand new stems/cores I still found one core that failed after 6 months of being installed. The valve cap is acting as a seal, so no air leaks past that cap. But when I remove the cap, I can hear the leak. Keeping the cap on will allow me the time to get it to a Loves and get the core replaced (don’t want to do it here as I don’t have the air system to set a bead in the event I let too much air out and break the bead).

American Fleet needs to be the go-to shop for engine problems. If nothing else proves the value of dealing with them this thread is a clear indication.
Brian and the folks at American Fleet have just demonstrated that regardless of the distance serious consideration should be given to get problems solved by them. The cost of time and money on just this one problem far exceeded what it would have cost if the coach had been taken to American Fleet in the first place.
Bill now needs to go about to recover money needlessly spent by “remove and replace” mechanics that clearly were in over their head.

Thank you men. Based on your comments, I will skip the 3M for sure. We have a bra that came with the bus, so we’ll stick with it.

Similar experience with Direct and Dish in the past. Now we have no satellite or cable TV for the last 10 years. It is liberating. The lack of quality programming, the dumbed down news, 24/7 propaganda and aggravating medical and political ads are just too much for us. We do have over the air ATSC to catch local weather. Everytime we turn it on, we feel like in a scene from Idiocracy… Great, prophetic movie by the way.

Jeff…
You were dead right… fuse on wire #82 was blown… back in business here… thanks so much !!
Is there a wiring diagram of what all those fuses in my bus go to? I would love to have a copy of that at any price!!
Again thanks, you saved the day.
Cheers , Diane

Thanks Jeff… I wondered about that… then remembered that Liberty said to never turn them off… Vantare also said the same thing but I would just turn the Vantare down on both inverters to 5amps then at bed time put them back up to the default 15amp charging rate if they weren’t in float mode already otherwise I’d leave them on 5 amps… it was so simple to change the draw and made a huge difference in managing the A/Cs in the summer.
Being new to Heart inverters I didn’t dare do that.
Again thanks so much… these tips help out so much !
