I had a 94 XL CC, the ECC cabinet was the most daunting thing that I dealt with. Miles Circo has the expertise to fix any cards that may fail and has spare cards, he was with CC. The CC version of OTR air worked well on mine until the compressor clutch locked up, the clutch was obsolete so a new compressor was called for.

Jon: How long typically do you expect these parts and pieces to last? When do you replace?

I did the same thing Jon did. So far, very trouble free. Before that, lots of air leak chasing. Be sure to put shaft locks on the jack screws to lock them down after you get things to the tightness you want. Ask me how I know. Mike

Coincidently when I was at Prevost about a month ago two H3 coaches with similar damage (seated) were in the process of being rebuilt.

Given the age and relative value of this coach, and the amount of this coach that has to be disassembled and cut apart to get to the undamaged sections to begin the repair it might be cost prohibitive.

The photos aren’t very detailed so it is only a guess as to the extent of the damage, but I think it is certain more of the chassis structure is bend and deformed than it might first appear. Add to that parts availability, unknown detail about interior damage, and this coach becomes a treasure trove of replacement parts.

It would be great to get the details, starting with how it was insured, what the decision is regarding repair or it becoming salvage, what was damaged in the interior, etc.

Any type of grease and any kind of gun that will push grease into the fitting will work.

The more appropriate question is if whoever is taking care of your coach maintenance doesn’t grease that fitting, why would you continue to use them?

Chris, The last time through Atlanta from Charleston, I traveled the bypass southern route. It wasn’t bad due to it being a Sunday, but still quite busy with all of the exits in the small suburbs. Drive straight through, you’ll see all of the crazy drivers for sure.
