Here’s a new service that may be the answer to mobile internet access. Please note that I have not yet tested this system, so here’s a review from a notable source:

In the square slots insert a socket wrench, (it looks like a 3/4, but some are 1/2) and just lift against the internal spring. Do not loosen the bolt you see in the center.
I say lift because I think the photo is inverted.

All of the normal work with the exception of very unusual tasks like dropping a fuel tank, is done in about 10 or 15 feet of the front and rear of the coach.
If the pit is half the coach length you have to work on one end, remove the stands, turn the coach around and do the other end. In a routine maintenance you are working on both ends from the pit.

Like most of you, I grew up before home computers, but Etch A Sketch prepared my generation well. It helps to hold the phone, tablet or laptop up in the air and shake it. Once the screen is clear, you should be good to go.

Thought: Intuitively it would seem that the axle would need to be shifting laterally relative to the chassis, which may only happen on a sloped surface. Bushings?

Can’t believe the Folks at Houston Prevost wouldn’t recommend a service cat. Heck Bubba, the General Manager or Chris, the Service Manager seem like stand up guys. Hope it all works out..

Ah crap!😠😢. Leon was a wizard. We first had the pleasure of meeting him in 2002. His experiences and knowledge of the Marathon Coach will be very hard to replace. Sad 😠RIP, buddy!

We would have been in that Carroll’s group picture if Glen had not have needed to work in Charleston this last week in order to pay our ETLC bill.
Don’t worry. we are just South of St. Augustine and will hit the EXPO after lunch tomorrow (Sunday).

There is no more economical way, or faster way to have a bus conversion than to buy one. Having said that if you don’t care about conveniences, well done plumbing and wiring, high quality robust components or your time, then buy an old seated coach that has been ridden hard and put away wet and start the journey towards owning a bus conversion already in the hole and behind the 8 ball.

That is great information you have there on the recall. I will contact Detroit this morning and see if my coach was ever taken care of. Also the part #s are listed if I have to change the parts. Thanks for now, I will post what I find.David

Yes the 10 years rule…but there are lots of members on this forum that qualify for the rule…I was just looking at the proposed project / end result, should be a nice place.
