Thanks so much! Had planned on coming across 40 and taking the 15 down to the 10. Guess I had better check my atlas. I think Indio is a good ways east of Mira loma?

Where does the airline go that comes out of that tank Diane? If there is a quick coupler at the rear bumper, it’s possible a previous owner used the Air Force One. If that’s the case, I would remove it all, just another source of potential problems.

Some folks are just happy with the 10 to 12 mpg they now get…………..eh???

With one exception…..a fellow walmarter was getting 15 or so last week!

Missouri had very dry humidity that day……? Only explaination I could come up with.

Didn’t ask about his nose covering…..had to be almost liquid.

    BTW…….fuel was only $2.45 too……….

forgot to ask what ‘hybrid’ he was running.

I’m one of those with the yellow looking crud on the nose. Covered it with a bra for now.

I have another Eagle bust under there that I’ll try to save when I remove the clear stuff.

Hopefully the clear coat(s) over the bird will take the beating/ then recoat….no stick on stuff tho.

Wow, I did not know there were so many problems associated with $2,0000 mirrors! Mine have a tendency to move down on me, but hey, “I needed to get out of the bus and walk around anyway, right?” (Whadya expect for 33 years old?)

There are fewer and fewer platers good enough to re-plate items like these mirrors. The hexavalent chromium process (which gives a brighter-less blueish color) is on the EPA’s “priority pollutant” list.

As Jon can most likely remember, “good plating used to depend on which guy had the cleanest tanks” but not anymore.

We will gather information from posts on this thread or from emails and determine if and when (and possibly where) a second seminar will take place.

Notice will be no less than 30 days prior to the seminar, and it will take 20 interested owners to fill a class.

Dick if you are parked at home you do not need aux comp on with no slides on coach turnit off , I have had three prevosts replaced every part and all where leak free for a long time , on my coach now I have done all fittings and manifolds and all parts are new do not have to worry for ten years now , like Jon or him like me I hate leaks so I replace all things that can leak , unless I use air my aux comp never comes on that’s the way I like it

From the photo. that looks like a Reverse Osmosis system. It appears that you have a RO membrane container across the top. If this is the case, the RO membrane container is usually held in place by two plastic clips and usually is just a pop-in pop-out of the clips. If you are able to pop the membrane container up and out, then you will find that the metal plate (much like an ‘L’ bracket) that the filter housings are attached to, is held to the wall by 2 screws that go through slotted holes in the bracket. Loosen the screws (no need to remove them) and slide the bracket, either up or to the side depending on the orientation of yout slots and lift the until off the wall. Carefully remove the plastic lines, labeling them so that they can be replaced correctly. It appears that your connections require you to press down on the small retainer and the tubing should slip out. (there may be a small red colored plastic safety clip that must be removed before you can press the release) To reinstall the plastic lines, just push fully into place and reinstall the red safety clip. Once you have the unti out, you can easily unscrew the filter containers and replace the filters, then reverse the process.

Good luck. You will soon learn to enjoy the RFID portion of the Prevost experience. (Repair or Fix It Daily)

One of the issues with the pneumatic systems in our coaches is age. All the valves rely on rubber or rubber like compounds to seal valves against leaks. As the rubber ages it becomes less pliable and eventually leaks occur. The problem we have as our coaches age is there may be hundreds of places where minute leaks can occur, and while there may be no big leaks, the cumulative effect of many small ones will add up to a lot of leakage.

There is also the fact that any valve or seal has some sort of acceptable leak rate. Ideally nothing new should leak. But companies that sell parts of the pneumatic system all have factory tolerances which define acceptability. When Peter was having issues with his drive axle brake chambers leaking at the parking brake side Bendix acknowledged there is an allowable leak rate. As long as new parts leak less than that rate the part(s) are deemed acceptable.

We can all approach “leak free” for our coaches, but it is unlikely we will reach perfection. This is especially true unless we opt to change every single valve and pneumatic device on our coaches with bench tested parts. Then we also need to insure every fitting and connection is leak free, finally we need to inspect and replace every hose or air line that may have cracks or porosity due to age.

Are you talking about the two bolts that are above and below the bolt on the trailing edge of the door? Mine are not screws. They are bolts with nuts on the back.

The whole door mechanism seems strange to me. Having the panel with the inside flip handle on it, that is held on with screws through wood, is just strange. Eventually, I plan to redo my door and get rid of all of that stuff.

Had a long talk with Merle a couple years ago, it was a pleasure to meet him as I’ve been a fan for years.

Great to see he has a new bus and is still touring.
