That is the bearing I needed, too late now, I ordered the complete unit off of ebay, but I will keep that info for future! I thank you for that. I must have overlookedthat post when I was searching PC for info.

Outstanding support Pres!
I know Habitat will be extremely busy down there in the coming years, and we may try to get down to Beaumont for a build next year.

You are correct on both points. There are no drop in ready systems. Each one is custom. They are the way of the future.

The old Freedom 25 is not being supported by the factory anymore, but used parts and units are available. Ask ETLC?
After trading in my old inverters, my out of pocket was $3500. Ask Rocky what it cost him.
I installed them myself. I’m no rocket scientist so it can’t be too tough. If you install the inner most one east/west, and the outer most one north/south, you’ll be able to leave you gen battery below in its original position(if yours is like mine and Rockys.

Had my 91 OTR converted to 134 a few years back and it went down middle of summer. Have refilled and it goes down in a week or 2. That’s a big leak. Going to get it fixed by somebody next spring as I can’t live without it after having it so many years. Spend a lot of time down around the Gulf Coast of Texas and the 3 cruisairs just don’t cut it on mine in summer running down road with shades up for vision. Prevost Houston quoted me minimum $10,000 clams to get it back in shape. That’s a lot of clams. Will try to find somebody else to fix. Prevost said they replace entire Compressor and that’s one of the biggest charges. Think it was $3500 alone. Have already replaced back 2 hoses coming off compressor but that the only ones I have. When they work and mine did for years , you can hang beef in your coach. Don’t need a freezer. I’m hot natured. Wifey bundled up in co pilot seat, not so much.

I’m some what familiar with this converter you refer to as Superbus. At least for the past two years. What questions do you have. The information you have shared about Superbus is accurate from my understanding.
Jon, you have seen our bus, once while in Lakeland at Carisle and you offered to park it. And then in Vonore for the Know your Prevost seminar.

Thanks again all. Short version is I accumulated a ton of tubing and connectors. Disassembled everthing in driver’s bay sequentially and pressurized (broke some corroded brass fitings in the process; was able to find replacements at local hardware store(!)). Talked to Leon at Marathon etc. Replaced many SMC fittings. I think the Grainger tank is leaking somewhere as best I can tell. Per Leon a relatively rare problem. Whenever the tank is included in the circuit, it quickly loses pressure. Could also be some of the attached brass fittings – I did not disassemble all of them. I’m sure I drove everyone crazy at the campground running the compressor all day. (Better than running the engine to repeatedly generate Prevost air.)
Ended up plumbing in to input side of toilet regulator and now I can flush toilet thank god. Grainger doesn’t make same tank anyumore but they make one that looks similar. This will do for now. WHen I get home may replace tank, but I would want to start with all new brass fittings as well. Thanks again to the group for all the advice.
PS toilet works fine and holds pressure once it is pressurized. Has anyone replaced Microphor toilet with Tecma? How big a job is it? DIY or leave it to Marathon?

MemberSeptember 1, 2017 at 7:29 am in reply to: Generator start/stop interior buttons not workingOk, not sure what your autostart is on your bus, but we just had that. The autostart switch on the generator went bad. Replaced switch and all is good with the world. Same exact issues as you, could start from outside but not within.

Glad you and others are OK Rudy!

Good video.
I locked up my right tag axle brake by overgreasing last fall. Got too enthusiastic with new power grease gun. Will pay more attention this year.

Ronald you are correct despite what Harry says, but while I am totally opposed to the thinking I need protection, there is a reality at work making my opposition to being armed the wrong posture.
Until the late 90’s we had no personal protection on the coach. Until we parked in a rest area to pee and get some coffee we never felt the need. But on that day unlike normal my wife walked the pup while I used the bathroom. When I was done I looked out the window to find a guy invading her personal space and I could see she was very uncomfortable and needed to get away from him.
If he had attempted to harm her my recourse might have been to come charging out of the coach with a butter knife. As it turns out, before we could pull out of the rest area a cop who had gone through before came back and handcuffed this guy just outside out bedroom window. When he was searched the cop pulled a long bladed knife from his pocket. Then a second cop came and restrained the bad guy in the back seat of one of the cop cars, chaining him to the eye ring in the floor. Then they rousted his girl from the car and restrained her and then started searching the car. We left at that time but realized that just by pulling in the rest area to pee we were at risk.
It was not long after that and after many discussions with other Prevost owners that we realized were were one of the very few that were unarmed. That situation has now changed.
This is just like the brake discussion. None of us ever wants to avail ourselves of devices to offer us some safety, but the way things are with drivers and bad guys whether we are willing to admit it or not we need to prepare in some way, no matter how small to try to tip the odds in our favor.

Don’t know how long the tecma has been out but a freind of mine had 2 installed on a boat a couple years ago and one has given them total hell. The other the main pump just seized. He wished he would have kept the old 12 volt Micrphor electric models he had in before.
