Another big thing, Is where it’s been it’s whole life! AZ is a good place to buy in a dry climate, no rust or rot. If you do a car fax you can see the history and where it has lived. Ours came from AZ. Car fax showed it was sold in Florida and shortly it went to Tenn then to AZ, A lot of coaches are stored in barns or garages a big plus. You can fix a lot of problems but rust and rot is not easy to repair. Take the time look underneath and on the roof also.

Ron, I can tell you the the LVT (luxury vinyl tile) flooring installed in our salon & bedroom is by Amtico, and we really like it. Ours is laid diagonally.

Been on the road all day, so I’m just seeing all of your replies…lots of helpful information, so thank you all very, very much. I don’t know what type of charger the 24v unit is…will have to locate/identify once I turn it off. Is it likely to be driver bay 2, or elsewhere?

I also appreciate the part number for the pancake fan. My gut says mine is noisier than it should be, so I’ll check to see if your part number will be a match.

The transmission on your coach originally called for ATF fluid and a filter change. I think your filter is external. A lot of folks have switched over to Transynd or equivalent. I cannot remember the amount of fluid used but Transynd is very expensive. I think it is now in excess of $50 per gallon so that would be a large part of the cost of that service.

ATF has a limited life compared to Transynd but is less inexpensive and for a while I believe Allison was allowing a specific grade and weight of motor oil but I cannot remember the specifics so both of those would bring the cost down.

As to coolant, our capacity is in the range of 24 gallons. It varies based on what devices the converter added to the cooling system such as house heat exchangers or coolant heated water tanks, but it is going to cost some dollars for the coolant, maybe include a flush, and to be honest is a pain to properly drain and burp. The cost can vary a little based on if you use conventiuonal 2 year coolant that meets the Detroit spec or a six year coolant with OAT technology.

A bad breaker? Swap the bad breaker with a good breaker from one of your other CruiseAirs and see what happens?

I don’t have a dog in this fight. But …

Did the local electric motor shops have an opinion on running an electric motor at higher than ambient temps of 104*F? I’d think there are quite a few commercial and industrial applications (especially in the South and SE US) where the ambient temps around the electric motor are above 104*F. Working in banking all my life I’ve only been to an electric motor shop a few times, but I was always amazed of how knowledgeable those guys tend to be.

I’m with Jon. The converter likely had a bypass of the high temp cut-off or devised its own high temp cut off (with a cut-off at a higher temp) and wired that into the motor.

    Good luck. Keep us posted.

OK…tried to run it without water last night.

The motor does not run. Cam is solid on the motor shaft same with the clevis assembly. Solenoid valve clicks when lever activated and water is discharged when water is on.

Noticed some water on top of the vacuum breaker after water was run second time, none after several flushes.

Verified power, all good. Did not had the time to remove and properly clean all contacts, but cleaned the ones to the motor.

What model Tecma is a direct replacement for Microphor LF 220 is anyone knows?

This talk is really scaring me. If insurance is so hard to come by does it make any sense to keep looking for the right rig. Maybe just getting collision and the hell with the Coach insurance, take a chance. Michael
