A bad breaker? Swap the bad breaker with a good breaker from one of your other CruiseAirs and see what happens?

Another guess is : a bad capacitor? There are 2 capacitors on the condensing unit. One is a “run” capacitor, Grainger pt# 30D620, and the other is a “start” capacitor, Grainger pt# 6FLUS5. I’ve had these go bad, but it never caused the breaker to trip. Maybe it would have if I didn’t monitor the amp meter at their initial start each time I use them.

Chuck, Don may be right, but give AAP a call (contact information is on our advertisers site) and speak to Dana or Fred and see what ideas they might offer.

I don’t know why but when I first read you post my brain went to locked compressor.

Being especially lazy and getting worse I am always starting project now by doing the easy stuff first.

I cannot think of an easier step to begin analyzing your problem than calling AAP. They likely are going to be able to steer you to the initial steps required to isolate what is wrong, maybe without even using tools or getting your hands dirty.

Jon you’re on a roll today! Another great recommendation.

Recently on one of the Prevost Facebook pages someone said they had spent over $6,000 trying to get their Webasto fixed as they traveled across the country and it still didn’t work. I responded that I would PM the poster contact information for Rudy Legett … the Webasto go to guy. Within an hour I had two other Prevost owner from Facebook message me wanting Rudy’s information; which I passed on.

Then a few days later someone posted on one or the other growing number of Facebook pages where to buy a new Webasto … they’d given up on their Webasto working and wanted to replace it. I PM’d them Rudy’s information.

Before I sent Rudy’s info to anyone, I texted him asking if he still did Webasto consulting over the phone and was still taking calls. Instead of texting back, he called me thinking I had a problem. Nice visit with him.

Whether its cars, Prevost’s, houses, race cars, trailers or probably even airplanes … I see so many people who start tearing stuff apart before making a call or seeking advice from an expert on where to get started. Depending on what the issue is … even a YouTube video is better than nothing.

You tube and Fakebook have “experts” on all things Prevost and to a great extent these experts are wrong or at the very least are not providing the best advice.
