first test run on all electric rad fan system. Ran a little bit higher than I had hoped for. Turbo boost and performance improved allot. +15 on turbo..noticable increase in power.. Don’t do as I do.. I assume the risk of failure and have plan b-c-d-back to factory set up. So far looks like there is a little tweaking to be made.. Bob. Grade C- so far

Good point about still having the condenser in a poor location. Ive been looking at some of the big commercial rooftop units. Transair makes a rooftop condenser in excess of 100k BTU. They also have a 60k that would be great for the salon and galley. Has anyone have any info on these or ideas about the feasibility of using one of these?

Michael, I cannot count the number of people that are not satisfied unless they can buy something at a rock bottom price. Maybe it is the only way people can justify spending money. At the other end of the scale will be the people who will not buy anything unless it meets what they consider their needs, and they are willing to spend what it takes to get what they want.
In the middle of the two extremes will be the vast number of buyers.
Every single one of them will be right.
There will be almost no one getting exactly what they want at the lowest possible price unless they are lucky. If you are a pilot and a controller asks for a rapid descent at a slow speed, you know the pilot’s response is going to be he can give you one or the other, but not both. The same applies to buying a used Prevost.
In our family it did not take long to figure out we could buy cheap, or we could buy what we really wanted. I have learned the hard way you likely are going to be kicking your ass for putting “cheap” as a condition of sale, rather than one you really want.

These are the inputs to the 12V bus FROM the alternator. Reading the book for the zillionth time, I see the confirmation that indeed 2 wires run from the alternator to the distribution box.
My bus has both an engine-mounted 50DN and a belt-driven alternator. My chassis is 24/12 volt and my house is 12v.
Do 50DNs have dual output?

Thanks Mike, I add his contact info to my “go to” book.

Janet and I have lived full time in a Prevost since 1999 (full time in an RV since 1997). We have no other residence and are Escapees members in TX so we have some kind of legal residence. We work full time as well and love the experience.
Let me know if I can answer any questions.

What condition do you expect the charge air cooler, hoses, etc, to be in ??
“Bad” would be my quess unless it’s already been changed? They have a reputation for rotting too.

i would be very happy if that large one was part of the old AC system. I can remove it.

What do you have there now? Is it the factory paint? How much effort do you want to put into it? For example, my roof was badly sun burned, and many of the rivets seemed like they would leak so i decided a full new coat is needed. I removed everything from roof, fully sanded it down with 80 grit to the aluminum base metal, and coated it. I started the project using Bus Kote with beads mixed in on a small area but i didn’t like how abrasive it was. I felt it might be hard to keep it clean. So i went to Home depot and bought a 5 gallon pale of Henry’s tropicool and coated my entire roof with that. It has been over a year and everything is holding up well, the only negative i have with Henry’s is it is very slippery when wet. If you go up on your roof to wash it as I do, i have to be very careful. Other than that it washed off to a pristine white color.

Thanks Billy-
Yes, I had read your post before purchasing the kit, that’s how I knew to ask the seller about it. I got a quick response and he sent out another belt immediately which I got yesterday. But it’s the exact same belt as the one that came in the kit. Maybe this is the right belt, but I don’t see any length measurements on it. Hoping someone recognizes this belt and knows if it’s the right one.

Bought a 2000 CC XL-45 with aluminum inners and immediately removed them and went back to steel. Had a bad fender rub as Bernie pointed out.

Yes he will have a fender clearance issue.

I wonder how they got the slide partially out.
