There is a thread somewhere in which we provided all Norgren numbers instead of the proprietary numbers Prevost makes Norgren label the valves. If you cannot find it in a search I may have to spend an hour or so rummaging around in my garage but I might be able to find them.

There is not a sealing problem.

The trim ring goes on and off from the back, it just holds the bulb aginst the housing.

The drivers side is a little harder to get to tlhan the curbside.

I will get the led bulb number, sorry I forgot today.

What prompted my premature fuel planning for the trip was a discussion on another site about how many dollars could be saved by avoiding the interstate truck stops and going to the local gas stations. I used the planned trip as the basis because I was dealing with a real scenario.

I know fuel prices will be different several months from now but I was trying to see if there was any truth to the claims because ever since we put the fuel discount program in place I have used the cards exclusively, and only once used other than Love’s.

Even on this site we have had discussions about other truck stops with cheaper fuel so I wanted to see if it would make sense to look beyond the way I have been deciding where to buy fuel. For trips we take it has become crystal clear it makes no sense from a financial perspective to change our refueling practices and if we factor in the risk of buying from a low volume fuel stop cheap fuel can actually become very expensive as I found many years ago, and as was reinforced above.

For those of you who have not taken advantage of the fuel discount program you should give serious thought to participating. After my exercise I described above it is very clear it makes economical sense, is more convenient than any other option, and is likely to protect us from the dangers of bad fuel.

I’m still skeptical of putting unborn chickens or other products in the coolant system. If it was limited to the radiator, sure. But the system runs into the entire engine and possible more.

I would continue and monitored before adding something that wasn’t added from prevost from the start. If the system shows a higher level of leaking or other issues l, then maybe. But if it was me, I would monitor and keep it topped off at every stop.

granted, my background is 1’s and 0’s, so I look at anything like an egg or miracle seal as a hack. Along the same lines as slime to fix a punctured tire and depending on it.

Towing can become a serious issue if the vehicle to be towed requires a lot of steps to get it ready to tow.

The fewer steps required the less likely there is going to be a problem. But there are options to simplify the process of hooking up if you want to tow a particular car. Don’t forget there are devices such as transmission circulating pumps and driveshaft disconnects that can make a lot of cars easily towable.

History has shown us however that certain vehicles are just perfect for towing and if you have them it is simple as it can get. The Jeep products with the correct transfer case to put the vehicle in neutral for towing have historically been the most favored.

Ahh this is great news… I’ve only used the old tried and true soap and water but as I said, water is not available where I park my bus. I didn’t realize these no water wash items also waxed. I’d expect the wax part of it may not be as good of a stand alone wax but certainly better than none at all. This is great news and I thank you for your input.

Have you found the information on the bottle to be accurate about the amount of volume it will cover? I’d not want to order the amount the bottle says and come up short. By the way, can you get the products you recommended at NAPA, Walmart or other such places?

Thanks for this information. I did not know firing up the auxiliary compressor was part of the start up process…..good to know. As I live north of the 49 parallel, I use the Webasto for a good 3 hours to pre-heat the engine before starting. Now I will add the auxiliary air compressor to my start up list.
