  • Rear Flood Light

Posted by Andy on August 1, 2017 at 5:33 am

Does any body know what the replacement rear flood light for a 1999 Country Coach would be? I assume that this is a CC add on and not a Prevost part but I’m not sure. I would prefer to upgrade to a LED if that is an option. Searching did not provide an answer.

    Andy,

Rigid is a top quality marine grade LED company. You might find a suitable replacement there.

If it is like mine, the sealed beam bulb below the tail light assembly it is a Wagner #H9406.

Most auto parts stores will have it. NAPA, Auto Zone etc.

There is a replacement bulb in LED. I have them in mine I will get you the part number tommorow.

Thanks Rocky. I actually have a pair of Rigid lights on order to replace the foglights. They are SAE compliant so I can use them as a back up to my headlights or to supplement them. I got the idea of doing this after seeing Buddy’s clean installation. I would prefer not to pay that much for rear floodlights though, since they would not get used that often.

Thanks Buddy, I think that the lights on your bus are the same as on mine. They are sealed with a two pin connector. I like the idea of a bulb replacement so I would appreciate the P/N. What did you use to reseal the housing?

I just took a closer look at the light and what I thought was a housing containing a bulb was actually the entire bulb. So I guess no need to seal it.

There is not a sealing problem.

The trim ring goes on and off from the back, it just holds the bulb aginst the housing.

The drivers side is a little harder to get to tlhan the curbside.

I will get the led bulb number, sorry I forgot today.

Jeff works me like a slave so I didn’t have time to look it up. 🙂

    No hurry Buddy and thanks.

Yeah, obviously Jeff pays well enough for a siginifcant Prevost upgrade but you have to live with the scars left by the lashes that you get out when you are deemed out of line. Fortunately, the scars can be easily hidden under overalls 😉
