Weeks! My ass…Les, you’ll still be grinning 5 years from now. We still are and it’s going on 8 years. Geo.

Buddy,
We were in the left lane because that is where the slow drivers stay in Tennessee.
Now for the rest of the story………..
Tom and I often work to get and keep advertisers and Friday was no exception. We knew we had a day of work ahead of us so we passed a few emails with detailed plans for the day including where we were going to meet, who we would call on, when we would call on these people, etc. As you can imagine Tom had to use that exchange of emails as a means of reminding me to not only bring my flip phone, but to make sure it was turned on.
I arrived at our meeting place on time, with my cell phone turned on.
We hop in the car and away we go with Tom driving. After a few miles of him driving and doing his best to plant my face into the windshield he decides he has to pee so we stop and at that time he wants me to start driving because unlike most drivers he mashes the brakes but uses a feather to apply the gas. He blamed the brakes but I think he is so used to driving automatics he hasn’t learned how to use the brakes with his right foot. He is one of those old drivers who go down the highway with the brake lights on because his left foot is resting on the brakes.
So far all the conversation is about how hard we work on behalf of PC members and maybe a little conversation about the car, especially his braking skills.
When we get back in the car he pulls out his computer and starts to mumble under his breath. Then I see him messing with his ears. When I question what is going on he finally fesses up. He can’t adjust his hearing aids because despite beating me up about my flip phone it turns out he did not bring his phone.
So I have a favor to ask all PC members. Anytime you see Tom ask him if he has his phone with him, and ask if it is turned on. You may have to speak loudly because he needs his phone to hear.

I agree with Jerry. Like I’ve said before, I trailer when I “have to”.
I don’t know the trailer is behind the coach … until I need to make a sharp at an intersection in an old town with a narrow streets. But the time I make my turn 50 to 60 people have come out the antique store, tattoo parlors, and barber shops to watch me go around the corner and marvel at the fact I didn’t hit anything “this time”.
My advice about Prevost and trailers is simple: Make sure you clearly understand what you’re getting into and can accept all the limitations and risks associated with pulling a trailer behind your Prevost.

I would be quite surprised if that car pulled over 1g in the wet. In fact, drivers should be aware that a wider tire will often hydroplane on standing water more easily and at a lower speed than a narrower tire supporting the same weight and with the same tread depth. Beware.
Jon?

Tom,
Found it! Appears to not be doing it’s thing, pull it apart and give it a good soak?

Jon you should have hung around a week. A week after rain in the desert makes all the plants flower and it more beautiful than a sunset. The desert in full bloom is inspiring.

This “Tips and Tricks” thing could be a separate topic in the Forum. I think there would be value in doing that.

What Jon said…
Plus one of the things that I would highly recommend to a new owner, or anyone interested in getting/owning a bus for that matter, is attending the “Know Your Prevost” seminar that Jon, Tom, and Jeff put on annually or so. They cover alot of ground, and give a pretty good place to start the learning process, IMO. Also provides a list of contacts that may have the same converter and similar age coach, which may prove invaluable down the road. I’m a slow learner…been twice!!

Hi Todd, wouldn’t it be easier just to buy a couch that’s already set up for what you need… just saying.
-
Todd, check out the Home Builders section here on PC. These guys are really talented and can point you in the right direction.
Not sure what part of the country you’re in, but if you happen to be in the Phoenix area, stop by Taylor Tours in Anthem. They could give you ways to go about what you want to do.

And keep the pantry and fridge and freezer stocked up. Groceries are important !

My tips? Do not let anyone push you into a hurry when driving, parking or departing. Part two, do not let anyone talk you into parking some where YOU feel is not best for your coach.
I learned this when pulling a 5th wheel camper 40,000 miles a year. It is easy to let some one push you into a mistake.
I have violated my own rules twice since I have owned my XL. Once I nearly got stuck when I let a Pastor talk me into parking on the grass against my better judgment.
The second time I let an impatient driver get to me while I was directing my wife to back off the road into a tight parking lot. I would have held up the waiting delivery truck another 5 seconds if I had taken time to make sure the other side of the bus was clear. I do not want to discuss the results.

I am now looking into the fact that maybe the batteries are not charged since it has been sitting at an Allison shop (another story). Will charge the batteries and see if this is the case.
Thanks for all these suggestions and can’t tell you how important this forum is for someone like myself.
Thanks everyone!

Out of curiosity, l looked at the instruction manual – see page 6 of http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/439d5a_7ad65dbbbaab4a55b19a8bcaca828075.pdf where it eludes to wire it after the transfer box when there is a generator.
