Luc your other option would be ramps ,I made mine out of 3/4 in exterior plywood, about 6 in tall, plywood lays flat and staggered to drive on.

I want to say thanks to everyone responding to this subject. I did not do it but my 98 45XLE has all norgren valves. I have a ghost leak (slow) have started from compressor thru suspension (selonoid stack) and all. Now I have a way to check pr-2 . I’m lucky to have a pit ,sonic leak detector,Blue leak solution(used to find hvac leaks and dawn dish detergent in a squirt bottle. Need to check park brake next for leak.

    Plan “B”

Fuel up, drive / log mileage using probably 5 MPG. Do a little math and you have a backup plan when looking at Prevost fuel gauge.

Knowing better then to trust the fuel gauge for accurate info, I’ve done this on all 3 buses owned. Gave me a better idea of how much fuel I had between fill ups when looking at fuel gauge position.

Your drive-line should have the Cross of each Universal joint in line with each other, if the drive line was removed for a joint replacement and the two shafts not aligned to each other on the sliding spline joint when re-assembled they could be out of phase, this can set up a vibration , worth a look

Hi Roy – Weights taken a couple of years ago while at Jo Sam’s Orlando.

Was surprised how over-all balanced. Bet the steer curbside was heavy as carry a ton of tools first and second bay curbside. Well… at least a few hundred pounds worth for sure!

Had full water and empty tanks plus all our normal, heavily packed travel stuff.

Al: Post a picture of the damage. I think the rub rail and stainless steel skin comes off the frame. A good fabricator should be able to straighten out the frame and you can get polished stainless steel replacement panels from Steve Kolb at International Bus Parts in Florida

Have you talked to Tradewinds Coach & Marine in Deland, FL? People seem to be happy with their work.

Where do you feel the vibration? Steering wheel only? Driver Seat only? Passenger Seat? All three locations? Is it constant or intermittent?

For the money, I would (re) start by trueing all tires.

I also would manually check your centramatics to ensure the inside media moves / flows inside the tube. I replaced my steer and tag centramatics following this inspection as the media was frozen in place.

Call Centramatics to confirm how much weight they can off-set and try not to add lead weights unless they are the tape-on style, but best to not add any.

Not familiar enough as to where in FL you are currently located, but St. Lucie Tire & Battery also trues tires at their commercial truck location in St. Lucie. St. Lucie B&T is talented and can also re-inspect your suspension components. They install new tires and suspension components for Liberty Coach. They also true all newly installed tires for Liberty.

On the dash display you can monitor the fan status. There is 2 parts to the display, one is the cooling fans and the second is the CAC fan status. The display the percent of fan cooling called for. I have not seen it go above 45% so far. The fans are basically electric fans like you would find on a car. If one fails it can be changed in about 30 minutes due to the design of the mounting.

The Volvo is getting about .7 to .8 better mileage than the Series 60 in my previous bus.

The previous bus did not have DEF, but DEF is available at almost all truck pumps now and its DEF consumption so far is about 5 gallons per 3,000 miles. I have been told when the engine gets more miles on it the consumption of DEF will go down. The exhaust out the roof sure keeps the toad cleaner.

When you put it on ride mode center solenoid supplies air to the#14 port control side of the 5 port norgren in steer compartment that opens ports #2 & #3 that’s gets aux air via level valves that puts coach into travel mode, on mine rear comes 1st then front comes 2nd and it comes up slower till level valves are satisfied. In level mode to lift or lower front solenoid #1 & #2 have air to 3 port and 5 port in steer are used air to #12 control port on norgren 5 port opens ports #1 & #2 and supply air from sol #1 opens 3 port which puts air or removes air from front bags. pretty simple, if there is 90 to 100 lbs in aux tank front should lift easy. If not I think front bags are to short, 160 lbs are way over extending bags. yours is heaver then mine, and mine will go way above travel mode now! but before, Thanks to Don Beard I bought the correct bags before it would not lift much higher then ride height. Old bags and new bags same diameter but new is taller.

That’s very interesting I would have never thought of that Mikee. Thanks Jon I’m tempted to drill a small hole at the top and corner of the channel and use tinsnips to slowly cut down to the floor and maybe get an eyeball on the problem. But if this is a pressure issue then it gets a little more complicated. I’m thinking I could close it up with some silicone when I’m done. It’s all hidden behind a wall and cupboard so that’s a good thing but of course it makes it harder to get to.

    Thanks for the information.

The most likely source is the driver window. Where ever the paint is cracked around the frame of the window and the bus I would scrape clean with a sharp tool and repaint. Any screw that is exposed same thing, remove it, put silicone on the threads and put it back in, then paint the head again. I just went and looked at my bus, im surprised the water didnt already drain out of there into your junction compartment.
