Tom have you talked to the guys at Cruise Air yet?

>> Thanks, Jon. That is exactly what I am looking for… Strong, clearly stated opinions.

I did a double take when I just read that! What else would you expect from Jon?! 😉Next time mine goes in for work the extenders are coming off. I love the technology aspect of having a monitor. Maybe Liberty could install for me….

Hi Al
Well let’s put it this way, I am thinking it will be done but might not, am going to give it a try.

Tom, Dan still hasn’t got Jo’s idea. She hates the passenger seat and wants a new one. You aren’t helping her here. HA!

Why wouldn’t someone use the remote oil tank? I keep it full and when I change oil, I use the remote tank oil first, add the necessary gallons of oil to top off the oil pan and then fill the remote with fresh oil. What better way to carry around 2+ gallons of oil without worry over leaky containers. And, if you need a little oil near the change interval, just open the valve and top off.

Where’s Louise when we need her? For those who may not know, Louise of Merle and Louise AKA Karen strongly urges all wives to learn how to drive coaches. And I fully agree. However I pulled her chain a while back when she asserted women need to drive our coaches and I asked “but if my wife drives the bus, who will bring me my coffee?”
And here goes Rocky asking a similar question, which is certain to raise the ire of some of our long suffering wives.
Karen is undoubtedly making a list and checking it twice and so far Rocky and I are on it for sure. It is not a good list to be on.

When I did a replace back in May, there are a couple of things that come to mind;
#1 I took the muffler out so I could get in behind and work to remove the hoses.
#2 I took the belt tensioner off so I could get the fan as far away as possible.
#3 Mark the shroud so you put it back the way it came off. There is not much difference, but there is. I didn’t and had to take the radiator back out and do a 180 with the shroud because the fan didn’t go back in.
#4 Put new hoses on at this time.
#5 Installed a new fan, since the older one had signs of cracks. The older one had to be hammered on where the bolts are removed until it broke loose, It just didn’t fall off.
I put a new radiator from Prevost since my mounting bolts twisted off during removal and the radiator frame was rusting pretty bad, the lower steel panel was thin from rusting.

Jim…
Our slides are HWH and they have rubber gaskets no “air seals” for which I am very grateful as we just replaced all the rubber and it was a VERY simple project to do compared to the airseals… I have heard a lot of pros & cons about the air seals but not ever having them I can’t pass judgement…. I know that we are happy with the way ours are and we have no air or water leaks and they don’t squeak !
About the installation…. I have heard 2 stories… one being that Vantare installed them & another that they were contracted out for installation… so I can’t answer that question… I do know that ours are well aligned and work great…. what more can I say?
Perhaps someone else knows the answer to that and will chime in??
Anyone out there know??
Regards & Cheers,
Diane

Nothing worse than following someone using the Jake to maintain speed, off, on, off, on, off, on. You get the picture and when they acually do hit the brakes, your thinking, it’s just that damn jake again, when in fact they’re braking big time.
So if I’m doing the same thing, with the relay pulled, I’m not driving the trucks nuts behind me and when they see my brake lights, it’s the real deal.

MemberOctober 10, 2012 at 10:14 am in reply to: Fuse locations for Liberty Ceiling lights ?The Liberty owners manual has wire numbers which correspond with the fuse or circuit breaker numbers.
But there are two other ways to check fuses. Just use the ohmeter set to audible and go right down the stack of fuses to see which if any are open. Or pull the switch and see what numbers are on the wires to the switch and then seek out that number on the wires going into the fuse terminal strip.
My guess is if you have a problem with the master switch not lighting the lights, you probably have a relay that might be involved with the problem, but that is only a guess. Give Liberty a call. They are very helpful and they can answer your questions.

My former company produced power outlets for RVs under its name as well as privately labeling them for other “manufacturers”. We never shipped any with “bonded” neutrals, although all were shipped with the means to tie the neutral and ground together.
The local codes always determined if the installer was to tie the two together.
Based on your description every Royale has this situation.

I’m thinking some of the Jerry Reed songs in the Smokey and the Bandit movies would work real good here. In 10 days we are westbound and down. On a big loop to OKC with a stop in El Reno where we will see if we can make room on the Joey Bed.
