I had an “OOPS” with my new to me Jeep GC and confessed to Jon almost immediately because I knew it would make me feel better and also cause me a minor amount of embarrasement, and that being a bitter but lasting reminder. That said, in my nearly 40 yrs of Railroad Operations, sleep and distraction from ones required and knowledgeable duties were and still is the major cause of “Incidents”. We could not test/educate enough but we certainly tried. Maybe the best process is a very small card of some sort , such as Pilots use to do a Departure/Arrival check. Not so much as to be cumbersome, just the hightlights. Each person has their limits on what they will skip, so Human Error will always be a factor. Just my $3 worth.

Is that the model that lets them give a blast to obnoxious drivers around the coach while moving?

I think I speak for the others: it depends on number replys. And what the ladies are intrested in?? My wife does the uphlostry in our coach?? are any intrested in hands on? or more like shopping? We need to know..In past mostly food and fellowship on site with few side shopping site seeing adventures. It really depends on 25 coaches or 50 coaches. Bus open house is biggest adventure>>> already .Airzona-Indiana-Virigina-tennessee.-N.C.Carolina.prob Michigan.Alabama Texas. and that was we might just do it suggestion. If numbers increase. will adjust. Bob

I ditto what Tom says about leaks.
The dumping of the tag axle air is one of the events that directed so much of my attention to the suspension system. I own 1995(1994 chassis) that has the same pneumatic logic that you are describing. It took some study to sort it out, but somewhere in the 1996 chassis year range, a Prevost change was done to the pneumatic logic that eliminated this issue. The newer coaches do not have this issue, however, they can still have auz air leaks.
My view is when the aux air pressure drops, this event happens. The aux air supplies air to the tag axle lift switch in the front of the coach and when this pressure drops, the tag axle logic releases and the tag axle air bags vent. I looked into the purchase of a Prevost supplied pneumatic kit that would rearrange the logic such that this particular event does not happen, but it was cheaper and easier to manage the leaks in the aux air system.
If the tag axle is releasing a few minutes after you turn the engine off, you have a significant air leak in your aux air system. With a little knowledge and patience, you can manage these air leaks such that a small electric aux air compressor will maintain the system pressure when the coach is shutdown.
If you study the “How Does Your Prevost Suspension System Work” presentation, it in the articles, it will give you a good understanding of how the suspension system is interconnected.
Unfortunately, their is no easy fix for this issue, but it is manageable.
Good Luck,

Greg,
We travel 3-4 months a year. I use the USPS normally. I issue a temp change address form and change may address to my Escapee mail address. While traveling, I contact Escapees to send my mail wherever I am.
Since you live in Oregon, you might consider using an electronic mail service. Their is one in your area that I have used, but the lag time of transporting mail from Houston to the northwest was too long for us. I can not remember the name of the service, but they will scan you mail envelopes and post the scan results in you account accessible via internet. If you want, they will scan the letter inside and post this as well. I hope someone else chimes in here with the name of the service. I was a neat service, it just did not work for us in Houston.
Can anyone remember the name of the company that offers this service?

This is my opinion and I hope Tom will jump in if he gets a chance.
The BCM site has ben populated by a wide range of coach owners, from those with store bought coaches that are interested in the ideas expressed on the site, to those starting from the beginning and converting a schoolie. I have seen the range of owners and have interacted with a number of them via email or personal contact. All good folks and all are welcome.
When we asked Prevost to endorse this site it was so by encouraging large numbers of Prevost owners, operators and drivers (as in entertainer) to come together so we all can share in the benefits of large group membership. Prevost has an interest in our success because by participating actively they have an opportunity to hear from their marketplace. Our posts on the forum for example will reveal to a reader what we like about Prevost and our coaches and what we don’t like about Prevost and our coaches. We do not intend to censor criticism unless the writer is just off the wall and it is not justified. We sure will encourage open discussions.
But while we would love to see every member owning a Prevost, we are realistic enough to know we are going to have members who are only planning to buy a Prevost, or who just want to learn about a Prevost, or who have another brand such a an Eagle or MCI and just like to hang around on bus web sites. Believe me we have more in common than most may realize.
So to address the question of inviting people, go for it. I asked MAK if I could post about our site coming on line and agreed we would link to his web site but I was turned down and I do not feel comfortable pirating his members. But I am not opposed to people who like this site and feel others will benefit from letting those folks know we are almost fully up and running.
Having said that I want to make an important point that everyone must understand. Neither Tom nor I want this site to replace a site specific to a person’s interest. If that person is active in BCM we want him to maintain his relationship with that group. If a person is a member of the Prevost Owner’s group or the Prevost Prouds we do not want them to leave their groups for Prevost Community. We want to be a generic Prevost site open and welcoming to all who are Prevost enthusiasts from the home builders to those who will buy a brand new conversion. We want this site to eventually be the “go to” site for Prevost specific information, advertisers, articles, and coaches for sale, but not to replace, but to supplement the site for their specific interest.
This is the place where we hope to create a large national rally of Prevost enthusiasts supported to an extent via seminars and possible service by our suppliers and Prevost, we want this to be where members can get discounts and other benefits from Prevost and others, but we want the individual special interest groups to be where our members to go for the social aspects of ownership primarily.
